Default Zastava M91

We need someone to import some Zastava M91 rifles, preferably in 7.62x54r. Why is this not happening? It should be 100% importable.

Been a question asked here many times. No one knows why other than apparently no interest by firearms importers.

Zastava no longer makes true milled M91 with Zrak scope. The ones they made they sold to Iraq. New M91 is stamped receiver and uses POSP scope. Bowman said Zastava wants $3000 for each rifle his cost. After all the bs to get it into US, he would have to sell the rifle for $6000 to make any kind of money, and he thinks that is not good business option.

Well that's a crazy amount of money. I'd pay $1500 but that's bout it.

I would say the main reason is Century Arms has the main contract with Zastava for the US market.. And a real M91 doesn't fit into Century Arms business model of "cheap as possible".

Century could have just as easily specified that their M77s be shipped as M91 (stamped) clones minus flash hider.

This thread popped up a couple years' ago and what I gathered talking to the Zastava people and Century was that Century didn't make a lot of money on their 308s so they weren't going to try and import a bunch of M91s. At that time they were selling the 308 rifles for 500 bucks a whack.
