Default Bulgarian Steel Mags $13.99

Hey guys while doing some deal searching I saw gunmagwarehouse is selling steel bulgys for 13.99. Just thought Id post it to this community first. Also looks like code garandthumb knocks another 5% off.

Description isn’t great but yeah I think they’re new. I’ve been eyeing the Arms of America romy mags but these seemed like a better deal to me. Maybe someone else who has ordered these in the past can chime in.

I assumed they were metal followers greasemonkoid. You’d have to call and ask to be sure.

Bulgarian Metal Mags are good to go. New Euro-Production. Have owned and keep a few of them at several remote undisclosed locations. (Cache and re-supply points) Highly recommend them.
Will in fact be ordering some from one of the two sites mentioned.

Code “garandthumb” saves you 5%

Edit: just saw it in OP. Saves you .70/mag

It's the internal "spring floor plate" (sometimes called the insert) that's polymer, the actual floor plate is steel.

Skip to the 2:52 mark, it's a Polymer follower, and Polymer floorplate

So dropping them and cracking that floorplate is a potential concern, but at least it's metal lugs

Hmm. I have some damaged mags with good springs, floor plates and followers. I wonder if it would be worth it to trade out the follower and floor plate?

This. The poly internals are of no concern. These are every bit as good as surplus IMO.

Meh, the video reviewer is price stupid. For under $20 you can still get VG to Ex condition Yugo, Polish, Hungarian and Romanians that are ALL steel. Not as plentiful as before but they are still out there. Those new Bulgarians would only be worth it around $12 IMHO.

How do these compare to the all-metal new Croatian Yugo copies with BHO? Those things are going for under 10 bucks last I've seen...I bought 5 of them before I knew they were new production, but they've functioned fine...

how many different AK's have you tried them with? These Croat oak-leaf mags only fit 1 out of every 3 (or 4) of my AK's

Croats fit my AKMs fine without mods. Its hit and miss. Worse case scenario nothing a file and 10 minutes can't fix to the Croats. Can't speak on the Bulgarians because I would buy the Croats before I would buy them.

Yeah they were a bit funky at first...They locked up TIGHT in my M92s like perfectly...Would NOT lock up in the OPAP for sheeeit...I filed the locking lug a tad and they finally locked...Hit them with some Perma Blue quick and they've worked fine as range mags ever since...

Good catch, I totally missed that part 1st time I watched it.

So I'll delete that other post.
