If I want chicken nuggets, that's what my deep fryer is for. Chop up some boneless breast meat, bread it, and fry it up.

I worked in too many fast food joints as an electrician. If you only knew what went on in the kitchen area.........

McDonalds food is shit, no doubt, but having it occasionally won't hurt you
A fairly large percentage of McDonald's "meat" products are cellulose. Its fairly well known. I avoid fast food.Hell, about any restaurant food. Very little is actually "good" for you. Nothing fried is.

There is a whole genre on Netflix about scaring people about food and how everything you've ever eaten will kill you. It's pretty hilarious.

Everything is bad for you, so you might as well enjoy life.

While we are on the subject, we should talk about how they make hotdogs, and bologna.

Garlic Bologna..... Amazing!

Wunderbar is probably my favorite over all.

Nothing like a bologna, cheese, tomato and mayo sandwich. My southern white trash heritage is showing through.

Meh mcnuggets have too much breading.. I don't really like breading on fried chicken.

As for what is mixed with the chicken being nasty... Have any of you actually been around chickens? They eat their own crap, they are constantly getting nasty bugs in them unless you pump them full of poison to keep the bugs mostly dead.. Animals are nasty if you can't get your head around the process of turning them into food then get off the top of the food chain.

I like mine fried, with just some mayo, on soft white bread, delicious.

About 30 years ago a family member and his First Officer walked into the Employee Cafe in STL/ St. Louis Airport.

The cook had already turned around, facing the nasty, putridly brownish bubbling fryer, as these confused guys saw the Cook drop the Entire Bag of Plastic-Sealed French Fries into the fryer.

How many bags' worth of plastic was circulating through those sizzling, delicious french fries in that high fat grease?

Well, they made a 180* turn, decided to never go back.
Think that such cuisine isn't found somewhere today in the US? If the french fries repel rain drops quite well, then they must be made for "to go" orders.

Chicken lips.

I used to work in a large chicken farm and picked thousands of eggs by hand. The poor birds were in tight cages and nasty as shit. Literally. It did put me off eggs for awhile lol.

The worst were the MASSIVE mountains of chicken shit below the cages mixed w feathers, eggs, dead chickens, and ... RATS. Lots and lots of rats. Lurking. Waiting. Ready to swarm your ass if you ever fell into that deep, dark, pit of foul waste.

I'll take a 12 piece please.

in college i ate a metric shit ton of shit- top raman, budget gourmet and cafeteria crap. once i was done, and got married things changed.

most vegetables grown from our garden (and we trade with another family vegetables that we were unable to grow or had bad batch in the year, like this year- cabbages for winter storage)

Cow comes from across the street, 100% grass-fed and pasture raised, we go through 1 per year. Neighbor who raises it drives it down to our butcher, hence to middle man
Pigs we buy from another local farm, and butcher here
Chickens we raise hence we have exellent eggs almost always (not now, too cold so the bastards are laying less, still have to feed them LOL) and slaughter/incubator every year to keep the flock going
Sheep we currently buy from another farm but we are cuttently building a pole barn to raise them next year
Fish - lots of wild caught canned salmon and catch perch in neighbors pond. Lobster/oisters/scallops we get once in a while when have additional funds from a local fish market that deals with wild caught seafood.

we do go out to eat ...probably once a week at a couple local restaurants that we know owners of and that raise their own meats. Not just frozen stuff that comes off the same Sysco, Kecks or whatever delivery truck that service 99% of your all restaurants like Applebees, TGIF, Red lobster, Olive garden, etc etc etc

shit I totally forgot the deer. We also heavily rely on at least 2/year. I only got 1 this year.

Without showing store bought chicken under the same magnification and conditions I'll take this with a grain of salt. He tried to seem like he did it with the "real chicken" bought from a local Mexican restaurant, but only showed us it at a low magnification and single shot. Plus, And being from the same area the report emerged. I would trust McNuggests over any local Mexican place I've ever known in this area. I'll take bones and ligaments over feces from under Juan's fingernails in my chicken anyday.

I'm not above popping in a nug or 2 on the rare occasion I get some for the kids. Look I have fine tastes and enjoy quality in all things food and drink, but c'mon, those hot little nuggets are alright in a pinch. And yes I'm aware of videos and what's in em, and I'm aware that the cleanliness inside most fast food joints is likely abysmal. They say moderation is key!

I got food poisoning from chicken McNuggets in 1987. Campylobacter. Put me in the hospital. Haven't touched them since.

Haven't eaten anything from McDonalds in over ten years (since we watched "Supersize Me" in High School).

Rarely eat fast food (although I do indulge myself with Chik-Fil-A from time to time). I prefer to do meal prep and bring either a tupperware with clean food or some kind of meal replacement with me to work.

If you can get it, Leberkase (literally "liver cheese" but its really all the pork leavings ground up and baked in a loaf) on semmel mit senf (German bread roll with spicy mustard) is absolutely awesome! I used to buy one a day in the morning for a Euro on the way to work.

Small world, I used to stop at a convenience mart, on my way to work when I was much younger, in Tennessee, and get a "liver cheese" sandwich, for 99 cents. Probably not as good as what you had, but tasty none the less.

If I was really on a budget, I'd go with the pimento cheese for 69 cents

No, you are wrong on this.

American "obesity" is the end result of capitalism & kickbacks.

Look up 'high fructose corn syrup".

It's everywhere that cane sugar used to be, and the data shows a correlation between the adoption of HFCS and "obesity".
