I assume it will work just fine. Like anything, shooting sub cal through a suppressor will not work quite as well but honestly most can't tell much of a difference. When shooting 5.56 through my Sandman the difference in tone and reduction while using the 5.56 endcap is not enough for me to want to switch end caps all the time as I switch hosts. So I just leave the .308 on there.

I'd think that brass cased 5.56 ammo in a Galil would suppress fine with a regular ol American made suppressor design like a Sandman, Saker, AAC suppressor, gemtech, etc...

I'd like to hear of some first hand experience suppressing the Galil ace 5.56 though. I intend to buy one, so when I do I'll let ya know how well it works with the Sandman S...

Assuming 7.62x39

There have been a reports of rifles (16 inch barrels) and overgassing on the Galil ACEs running with a can. I know there is a picture floating around out there where the charging handle tore into the top cover due to excessive carrier velocity. Tim from Military Arms channel's 7.62x39 ACE rifle became a single shot rifle with a Wolverine

YMMV

He wasn't using the wolverine on the ace when his rifle became single shot

Went back and watched. It was a Griffin Recce-7, so not the same suppressor but you may still have similar results as the rifles seem to be over-gassed. Whether IWI has changed anything I don't know but I would guess not
