well I'm glad I didn't send mine in, I was waiting to see the outcome of underfolded. I had a bad feeling with CZ warranty when they wanted to immediately blame the Wolf Gold I was using.
I bought a new regulator over black friday sale they had, 20% off of the 80 dollar regular price.
I've got 800 rounds through it now, still eroding, erosion is more wider than deeper, approx 1/4 of the way through. The bottom of the orifice is still .043, at this rate mite get 4000 rounds out of it.
If no one else is seeing any erosion I guess we just got a couple of bad regulators which they should have replaced. I'll keep shooting with the original till the orifice opens up past .043

Yeah, CZ guy tells me, "it doesn't matter how wide the hole opens, it won't damage the rifle." And "All rrgulators wear that way". ZERO faith in CZ.

That's sucks but many others are not having this issue at all, sounds like a small batch to me , I checked mine and I ran crap ammo though it last time out.

Ran a combo of independence 62 gr brass case n 223 monarch steel case and a bit of tulammo so far. Haven't been lucky enough to find wolf around here. So far no issues but did experience maybe one or 2 blowback put of almost 600 rds fired .

When you say regulator, are you referring to the removable item at the end of the rifle that you removed in order to access the piston? Where are you seeing wear?

In other words, are you really talking about the gas tube the piston goes in or something else. Thanks.

The gas regulator, the small-ish cylindrical part that rotates out of the gun. I had attached a pic back a few posts.

Gotcha, I think they call that part the gas tube. I can't find your pic. Can you post it again. I am curious what you experienced.

And you are right... they call it a gas "tube".

Thanks. That pic is helpful. I am going to check mine. I felt something hit my cheek the last time I fired mine. I only felt it once. Felt like a super small warm particle. It did not leave a mark.

You guys had me all fired up about this gun a few weeks ago. The regulator issues aren't encouraging. I think I'll hold out for the Bren 2, if/when that arrives.

I think there have been around two reported issues with 805 regulators?

Yup... The rifle fires and the two in the thread are he only ones who have reported an issue thus far.

I'll keep my 805 and will buy the 806 if it ever comes... I would have saved up enough by then and I'd like to have both for a complete collection. If Trump loses and/or something happens that'll prevent the Bren 2.0 from ever materializing, I'll LMAO at all the fools who waited for the bird in the burning bush... Hell, I might even buy another one now just to sell to you guys at 2x the price later on.

I have some minor erosion around that hole as well in the regulator/gas tube. My rifle has about 300-400 rounds through it. On a sidenote, I saw a B&T apc 5.56 with the same type of erosion around their regulator hole. I don't think it affects function at all. There is another hole the same size just opposite of that hole and it has no erosion whatsoever.

Take a look at The pictures in this thread. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread....23-GEN-2/page8. The B& T appear to have the same issue. As such, the question is do any other users here have the same erosion around one of the holes in the regulator.

WOW. Took Bren out today. Shot 30 rds. 10rds of LC green tip, 10 of Wolf Gold, 10 or MKE 62grn. Gas tube looks worse than ever, and I have to open wounds on my face from shrapnel that I now have to go digging for. CZ was just notified. Waiting for their bullshit response.

Pics? You get yours from Buds too? I wonder if there's a reason why buds is the only one selling these so cheap. Never heard any complaints about the Bren till the hand full of people in this thread complained.

LOL

CZ wont cover that bro.

Speaking of which.....that's bullshit of CZ to NOT cover that. Excessive wear....eh.

I thought for a minute about shooting you an offer, but damn....excessive use being at 90 rounds, is a bit worrisome.

I honestly think it's a deeper issue. Can't JUST be the gas tube/regulator. It has to be a barrel (gas port?) issue.

Everyone with this issue should be constantly contacting CZ about it. I keep getting brushed off, but if there are more of us, maybe we'd get some where.

Well I was going back and forth on the Bren or a Galil Ace and decided on the Bren. In this caliber it has a better choice of barrel length, (both pistols). The cheapest I could find on the ACE was $1558 and I got the BREN FOR $1179.
It seems everyone compares these to the SCAR but if you ask me it is almost an exact copy of the B&T APC556. I do have one of those and it is simply a stellar piece of machinery. So Ill post side by sides when I get it. Plus I am very familiar with the B&T.
I expect similar performance. Have not noticed any erosion on the APC valve or any SIGs I have that have a similar valve configuration.

The Bren pistol or the 16" is down to $1179? Wow, that is a great price. Might need to consider adding one more to the collection.

Nice. That is a great deal.

What color is it or is it just some lens filter color?
