Default Norinco SKS

What's the current going rate for an all matching Norinco spiker SKS in very good to excellent condition?

$450 closer to $500. They keep going up and up. Remember when there were minty ones for $120. Barrels of them?

Can you post some pictures? Is it a /26\ rifle? Do you know the approximate year of production? It may depend on several variables.

From the header it would seem that the approximate value of an as-issued example is about $400.

I see many for $400-450 but they don't sell. $350 is more realistic

Hmmm, I don't seem to ever see them for less than $500 or $600 around here..

This one was at Cabelas, asking $650. Thought it was too much but was also thinking that it was a Norinco so maybe it was more desirable. Would like to get one some day.

Mine was $400 at lgs. He can only get them on trade since his supplier doesn't supply them to him. Saw it in October and snagged it up on lay-a-way since once in a blue moon he gets them on trade.

*with a free case of ammo.

I kinda regret selling my russian for 700 during the great scare. But I also never shot it and put retarded Tapco furniture on it....

If I can stumble on to one under 400 (won't be Russian I can almost guarantee) I'd be tempted to buy it. Assuming it's still got the fixed box mag and wood furniture. They're at their best when they're unmolested.

Here in Georgia, even for a nice, clean one, $350 still seems to be the going rate (well, unless they lost the factory steel mag, wood stock, receiver cover, and bayonet, and replaced it all with Tapco plasti-crap and a no-name Chinese red-dot, then the asking price is $500-650 .)

Iíve always wanted a Russian SKS. Iíll probably never get one because I canít justify spending what they cost considering Iíd never shoot it.

Central Florida I see entirely too many for the 500 dollar range. I think 350-400 is realistic, but people aren't realistic.

^^ yeah, as said above I've never seen one of any kind for less than $500 locally here in Co. Would like to pick one up but those $350 deals don't exist here.

Hmm, I shouldn't be going to gun stores, or pawn shops... Saw two Norinco spikers in one pawn shop. Been toying with an idea of one but don't have the funds right now. Both quite clean, the more expensive one had all matching numbers and darker stock. The other didn't have any numbers in fcg or mag.

The more expensive one would have been around $430 OTD. Probably a bit too much. I just took a quick look so didn't check the bore or the numbers/arsenal marks. Might go there later but..still don't have the money...

I see them all day long in pawn shops for $300-$350 for Norincos. On the other hand, I've never been offered much more than about $250 when I have tried to sell one. Great to shoot! Bad investment!

I bought my first one for $69.99+tax brand new at a shop. Probably around 1988-89 or so...

A common SKS should be $250 to $350 all day long, $400 if its an early milled one. Millions of Chinese SKS's were imported before the ban, they are everywhere, bad investment unless you collect every country.
