Judging from the replies above, there are 4 people asking for 1/2-28 threads, zero asking for or supporting 1/2-36 muzzle threads.

PSA, this should tell you what customers are wanting. And why.

That's also the reason why I chopped your 9mm AR barrel and rethreaded it. 1/2-36 thread on 9mm barrels is just retarded.

I have a feeling its a CYA things from the legal team. Hell, I can already see some people now putting 22 cal muzzle devices on and trying to shoot a 9mm through them and then getting pissed and demanding warranty service and badmouthing PSA all over the internet.

I'd prefer the 1/2-28 threads for the same reason as everybody else. But I understand why PSA doesn't want to give it to us. I'll be using a 3-lug to mount my can, anyways, and griffin sells a 1/2-36 mount. So i'm good there.

Most warranties specifically exclude damage caused directly by the end user.

Congress has even explicitly prohibited being able to sue a manufacturer for anything besides a fault that they caused like guns shooting by themselves when you are not pulling the trigger.

If I put a small motorcycle radiator on my car and I crack the head because it wasn't cooling right, is that Chevrolets fault?

Just sayin'.

Plenty of other mfg's use the proper 1/2-28 on their 9mm barrels. I'm sure a quick internet search will pull up plenty of examples.

Let me guess. Another PSA product that will never be in stock and when they do rarely have one it will be blemished.

If I get drunk and drive and cause a wreck, is that Chevrolets fault?

Just sayin'.
It's still damaging for PSA when somebody makes a thread or youtube video or a facebook post with "I broke my gun doing something stupid, but its PSA's fault." And I bet a significant portion of their warranty claims come from something that was the user's fault. They have to pay somebody to answer all the warranty claims.

We had the fellow around here who started a thread about how the finish on his PSAK was junk and posted pictures of a pska with rust and whatnot. Come to find out, he had sprayed it down with caustic level-4 industrial boat cleaner or something. And the thread at arfcom from the past couple of days about the guy who broke his AR upper receiver in half trying to remove the barrel nut. It doesn't matter that he used the wrong tools and technique, its all PSA's fault and now there's a thread that'll show up in google search results talking about how their rifles are junk.

I just found out we are considering a change in the threads to 1/2 x 28, from the feedback on several forums.

Thanks,

Josiah

Yes, it is good news.

From the looks of it, it's too short to shorten and rethread, so you'd be stuck with the oddball thread pitch.

9mm's need to be done in 1/2-28. Anything else is just ignorant.

All my AKs are Yugos, but I think I may have to add a couple US guns to the safe when these become available.

Before production & sales starts how much time or rounds do you spend on testing any issues with these guns ? What type of warranty if any ?

Josia, how easy would this be to SBR?

Does it have a dummy plate on the rear that is removable so those of us who jump through the hoops can install a regular stock??

Plate thick enough to thread for an Ace style stock or ????

I'm wanting to see internals of both, but mostly the 5.56. Maybe when they come out I'll be lucky enough to see one at the range.

In this picture, you can see our patent pending rear trunnion puzzle piece and patent pending adapter being used with a brace. Additional adapters will be released for fixed stocks so you will be able to make them into SBR's.

Also, we decided to add a few more features to our 5.56 AK and are torture testing it now. This will add an additional 30-45 days to the project. I will get you photos as soon as I can.

Thank you,

Josiah

Wait. What? Is that a patent pending triangle folder brace? Why's it got velcro on the back of it?
Any chance you'll be releasing something like that with the 2-hole mounts to work with existing folding adapters?

Very good job on the rear trunion/stock mount.

The puzzle piece having more surface area will be stronger than using the easier to make "T" dovetail shape.

Yeah, I'm sure there will be plenty who will want to keep the folder on their sbr, but I'm sure you are going to offer that option as well.

I wasn't really even in the market for another 9mm but if you keep these priced affordably and well made with the 1/2-28 threads, You've got me.

I just noticed in this picture, is that a bolt hold open? If it is, that's even more awesomer.

Awesome!!! I have a backyard range and try to shoot all guns suppressed, being a good neighbor.
It will be nice to have something other than Sub2000 to shoot in a suppressed carbine version.
And 5.56 AK taking AR mags will push me into that caliber in AKs! 5.56 AK mags are too expensive for my tastes.

Plus T-shape has 90 degree corners for stress to concentrate in. Puzzle piece is so much better!

I’m very interested in the 9mm model and a 5.56 model. Hope PSA gets it right, these could be game changers.

Also imo, if some tard uses a .22 muzzle device on a 9mm, that's not causing a problem it's taking care of a one.

Bout time; the last round (Shot show announcement) you got negative feedback on the 9mm looking like a bolted on afterthought, itís turning out better than I couldíve figured it would be from the response to criticism at that time.

556 should have LRBHO as well, hereís hoping it does

Why stop at 9mm? 10mm and .45acp could be nice. Imagine a 10mm krink.
