You guys with the Draganovs all suck!!!! And I am stuck with a PSL.
Thanks Snowman, I thought you said in your original post it was made of iron wood, not that there was a company called Ironwood that makes stocks. I researched them and found their website and am pleased with their offerings. I intend (as I said in another post) to purchase a solid stock like yours (a 4 piece set) as well as a 3 piece set for my Romy underfolder. Then the PSL will have the right eye relief w/o spending $250 plus for a composite set as advertised elsewhere on this forum. I haven't decided on wood type yet. The laminate would be stronger, but the walnut would be tits and ass!

Hey Bascot,

I have a few other stock sets from Ironwood. No complaints whatsoever. I prefer the yugo grip on my sets. The beefer design fits my hand better.

Going that route means drilling into the receiver, just a little bit ahead of the magwell and then attaching the Versapod adapter to mount the bipod.

that's what i thought. I prefer not to modify the rifle permanently, but am also not a fan of the handguard mount.

Default Here it is -

Picked this up at a gunshow back in - 2000. Fellow called it a 'Romanian Dragunov.' Came with about 200 rounds of miscellaneous ammo and the rest that you see. Had been fired less than 20 rounds,

http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...c/DSCF7435.jpg

http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...DSCF7436ed.jpg

As can be seen the scope is Russian (based on my research from Kalinka). It has red illumination and the 'Big game' reticule (suppose that means that is not really a 'sniper' rifle, heh heh).

Not sure if the previous owner painted the dust cover and magazines, whoever did it did a good job.

Has about 400-500 rounds through it now. Consistently gets about 1 to 1.5 moa with surplus ammo. Knocked down a 'little' 4 point muley with it a couple of years ago.

The new Chinese sniper rifle in 7.62x54R requires a massive muzzle brake.

Default My PSL's, a 75 and a 77

Both Romanian assembled PSL's from Century. Top one is a shooter, bottom on is for decade later resale. I also bought a night scope for them from Jarmo in Finland.

Default PSL-54C with 1PN34

A matching Century PSL-54C with original build date of 1975. Scope is obviously not matching to the gun and is a 1986 Novosibirsk 1PN34 NSPU in perfect opertional condition. Installed the SVD cam in the scope and it does exactly what it was designed to do.

Just got my PSL-54C all put together last night. I had to wait for the "Pro" POSP scopes to get back in stock and really like the finer adjustments and bigger turrets. Rifle also has the Confederated Arms adjustible stock which helps since I'm 6'5" and can touch my knees without bending over. And no, I dont have a blue butt... Sling is suppose to be for a Draganov.

No, it's an 8x42 Pro with diopter adjustment and US mildot reticle. Kalinka #GSPOSP842DPROSVDMD. It also has the optional lens hood shade.

Here is the wife with her SSG...I need to get a pic of our whole AK family together. Includes two Romie builds, one Tantal build, one M70 and one WAS-10...I guess we could include the two SKS's (Norinco and Romie) and the lonely M33 Mosin. Almost for got about the the two M48 Mausers...

Our US family is not quite as large Korien M1, M1A, 11.5" build AR-15 pistol, 16" build HBAR AR-15, Lady Carbon 15 (Bushmaster), 20" post band AR-15 (Bushmaster) , 20" build 7.62X39 AR-15, 20" build with stainless bull barrel...ues that is it...

Any way here is the wifey and her gun:
Also my three AK builds...the Tantal and the two Romies:

It's good to have your other half into firearms, they make great shots too.

I would have never thought the SSG at the time, but she got big eye'd when she seen it and said "that gun is friggin sexy!" ...so I bought it for her. I had SKS and the WAS-10 at the time, but was it...I was more into "building" AR's then.

It helped get me hooked on the AK platform.

Oh...she can shoot too...never get in a gun fight with this girl...you'd be toast!
