Might edit the title a bit to get folks attention.

I was just there last week, now ya wanna get me to go back?

Took my nephew. He never shot an AK before, 'cept on Call of Duty...

Some younger guys blowing up cantelopes with shotguns (no hearing protection) gave me some interested looks, asked me what caliber my Romy MD 65 is... Romy UF BFPU just looks bad ass. I wish I had a bayonet on it...

I'm gonna test fire your MAK this weekend if Longshot will give me a mag and some ammo.

Someone once said, "If the rifle needs a recoil buffer... It's broke". Hoping to not ever need a recoil buffer in it! Plug & Play with NO modification or extra stuff is the operative phrase for this adapter. But looking forward to seeing the finished prototype...

Longshot: sorry... 700 miles is a bit of a hike for me!

Edit: Friday, how about shortening the "snout" & using a tapered round "nut" that fits into & locks by friction into the hole in the receiver? (Thereby totally getting out of the way of the bolt/bolt carrier?) Yugo M72B1 uses a long stock mount bolt that threads into a thick, tapered disc which fits by friction (and the rearward force of the tightened bolt to hold the butt stock securely.) The M72B1 is a stamped receiver with the rear trunnion that fills up the entire rear of the receiver. The rear trunnion has a big round hole with a round, flat tapered "nut" that fits in with friction only.

Or maybe a thinner piece, rounded at back to match the inside curve of the receiver, with a threaded hole to receive the mount bolt. Maybe with a flange to prevent it getting sucked into the receiver hole?

I was envisioning the adapter mount bolt/machine screw with the head to the rear, as in my original design. The threads going into a nut/half round/tapered disc that fits inside the receiver. Or maybe inside the receiver hole...

Geez,I think I'll head down there Sunday. Remember, they changed the target rules..only "manufactured" targets or somesuch thing. I think they are trying to limit people dragging garbage and appliances there and leaving a mess.
I think clay birds are still cool,no?

Cantelopes are apparently made of paper or at least have a paper sticker on 'em!

Four shooters? Really?

I can remember not so long ago when we'd get a dozen or so.

Get in here guys!

They will all regret it after we spend a day at the Pit shooting, drinking vodka with MK and telling lies. You can lead a man to water, but ..............well you know the rest.

To those that didn't make it out to Lapeer today, you missed out.

Perfect weather for a shoot. Sunny and warm for the first time in quite a while.

To Friday1, RG Coburn and Duncan thanks for making it a great day!

We met a couple from Michigan, with a pickup full of pistols, and rifles. The lady was a shooter and she didn't just have a pink .22 or AR. She let me shoot her favorite rifle and I have the bruise on my shoulder to prove it. Those bolt guns are shown in the dictionary under "recoil." There was a group of guys shooting pistols with a cart hooked up to a pulley and rope system so they could change targets without calling a cease fire. Sunburnt and sore but smiling I am.

We did however mess up a steel plate. Why they put ears on those plates is a mystery. They are just gonna crack. Longshot lost a hanging arm too. We searched for it like a 12" long piece of 3/16" steel and it was nowhere to be found.

Got to shoot a belt fed RPD and a few high powered bolt rifles.
