Default Official PNW AK Meet and Greet.

So after hours of organizing I have finally settled on April the 27th-29th for this event to take place. Location is Goldendale Wa at the Cerberus Group training Range. The range will be open to us for all 3 days, with the meet and greet scheduled for the 28th. On that day there will be plenty of shooting, BBQ, raffles, and some friendly timed competition events. If you would like to take one of the classes offered sign up on the link below as spaces are limited and will fill quickly. All range fees/camping/training will be collected by the Cerberus Training Group, again see prices in the link . No hook up/primitive camping is offered on site, and is free if you take a class. If your not the camping type I added a couple of the local motels in the links below. My goal is to put together a economical fun weekend with like minded individuals that enjoy shooting the AK rifle. If you plan to attend please post up so I can further plan ahead, and make sure I get enough food for the BBQ. I have a few vendors donating stuff for the raffle, so some cool things will be given away. This should be a kickass weekend, and I look forward to meeting my fellow AK brothers on here as well as a few other PNW firearms forums. If you guys have any questions fire away here or via PM if you want.

Thank you, planning to attend. Have room for one if anyone needs a ride from Vancouver to Goldendale.

Would love to attend, but all the anti-gun legislation that's been passed in WA in the last few years plus all the crap the legislature is trying to shove through now, REALLY gives me pause when I consider driving through the state with a half-dozen rifles and a couple K of ammo....

From what I read of the law, all it takes is one yowling libtard to call in on you, and the cops come and take your property, never to be seen again.

What's the position of the Sheriff in that county? Police chief? Are they 2A-friendly?

Dragynn, I would call Steve@the Cerberus Group where the event will be held as he could tell you everything you need to know as he is former law enforcement and should be in the know. Click on link and number should be there, Steve is great guy and will take the time to answer questions. Hope you can make it.

I heard my ears a burnin! Greetings all!

The Sheriff here in Klickitat County does not enforce the "transfer to friends" garbage, has more gun safes than just about any human is allowed to have...or something along that line.

Helped me get the conditional use permit for the construction of my range and future facilities. Soooooo...unless you strap your firearms to the outside of the vehicle for all libtards to see, no one will know anything. Hope to see ya in April.

Thank you. I think this event has the potential to turn into something that all can be proud of to attend and get something out of. I know with all the correspondence with Porter, he's putting his heart and soul into it.

Other than some of the logistical schtuff involved with putting this on, namely insurance and enough RO's to keep the insurance happy...my plan is to cover my costs, then turn back some of the proceeds into an Annual PNW AK meet, so this can keep going.

Thank you all, hope to bring some positive energy, hang with like minded citizens. What is your typical weather in April? Been a while since I was out your way. Squared away my mags/ammo loadouts, can pack field gear, clothing, ear pro, eyepro. Look forward to meeting you out east!

Thank you for posting! That's what I needed to know.

I'll have several really cool rifles and i'll bring a good bit of ammo, and FYI i'm not freaky about my rifles, everyone is welcome to try them out at any time (as long as I don't have to run a damn background check on 'em, lol). None are safe queens and all are set up to be run hard and fast.

Don't know if this helps and I see from your site you already have an awesome medical guy, but my wife is a 30 year+ surgery tech and certified in more trauma and CPR and lifesaving shit than I knew existed, if we can make it she just told me she'd be willing to volunteer to help man the medical tent.

Hope you can make it Dragynn, you sound like my kind of peeps I care to be around. I plan on bringing several rifles outside of my AK'S that will be in attendance, and like you I share the same policy that if you want to shoot them just ask. My shooting bro's that are coming are like minded also. I have met some good people off this site and am sure I will meet more at this event. You will like Steve and crew also, they are a great guys and a big reason this event was able to come together.

Just a FYI also guys. After talking to one of my buddy's about coming he had big concerns about the safety of shooting around lots of people he wasn't familiar with being a reason he probably wouldn't attend. Make no mistake about it this event will have many rules put in place as well as range officers to keep things in check. Safety is rule #1, and it will be strictly enforced. We will have a great time, but there won't be any of "That Guy" running rampant. When the event gets close I was planning of posting the rules per say so everybody will be on the same page.

Been having snow the last few days, along with sub freezing temps...but have 4 guys from Idaho arriving tonight for a rifle class, those are some die hard folks! April can be hit or miss as to weather. It will be a bit cool at night but should be in the high 50's and into the 60's by then, with rain possible...but every year is different.

I guarantee there will be plenty of fun, BUT the range as per my insurance will be heavily monitored. Which means no one on the range unless there's an RO observing, and I will be providing those, and there will be plenty so no one will have to hunt to find one. You'll be able to do many things that a normal public range won't allow, like moving, firing multiple rounds with some speed etc.

You're welcome to bring targets, objects etc to shoot at, nothing explosive or glass. The range is about 25 yards wide, by 50 yards long. Any questions, keep firing away...

NOW you're talking my language! Ahh bar-bee-cue, the currency of friendship in my county. I'll throw some tasty stuff into bags to marinate during the drive down.

Beer okay after shooting is done for day and weapons are secured?

I would think so as long as we don't get out of hand on the beverages. The guy with the smoker is going to do everything in his power to make it. He does weddings/etc so as long as he doesn't get a booking on that weekend he is in. He said his bookings usually start in may so lets cross our fingers. If for some reason he cant make it I have a backup plan and it does include BBQ, Yours truly is from Texas so I know a few things if needed.

Quick question. Any affiliation between Cerberus Training and Cerberus Capital Management?
