Default Lage Manufacturing

Got ATF approval for a .223 upper for the M11 that takes AR mags.

Great news! Videos show it running well, from both a mil mags and drums.

I think they are still waiting on the internal buffer upper to be approved. The current upper you have to drill a hole in the m11 for the buffer

Yep. The internal buffer version will probably do 2 things....

1. Sell a ton of uppers because most folks don’t want to drill holes in their registered machine gun.

2. Add another 50% to the prices of a transferable M11s. Lage has taken the cheapest machine gun and in a short amount of time made it very desirable. I see this innnovation being another step up.

Richard from Lage Manufacturing got the approval for the Max11/15 5.56 upper for the M11/9 submachine gun. He got approval for both models, internal buffer and external buffer systems. What's cool is that it accepts a lot of AR15 parts such as barrels, hand guards, and I believe bolt carriers. I have a M11/9 and I can't wait to get this upper.

From Richard's Facebook page:

Quote:
We have received our determination letter from the BATFE and they have approved both versions of the MAX-11/15! We will start production right away and hope to have the first 20 ready in a few months. After the first run we will increase the quantity of each run with the goal of doing a minimum of 50 per 4-6 weeks. Since both versions were approved you will be contacted a month or two prior to the run that you are going to be in and we will ask you which version you would like (AR Recoil System or Internal Recoil Mechanism). There will be no price difference between the two options. The price for the MAX-11/15 will be finalized when the first production run is completed but it is estimated to be $2,995. We estimate to reach the end of the current list in approximately 18 months. We will continue to post updates of the status on our website.

This is beyond cool! I can not believe I missed this, until now. I have one of his older style Max 11 uppers on my M11/9 and have not used the original upper since receiving it. Turned a bullet hose into usable equipment.

I remember the SABRE 556 upper for the M11/9. I was tempted but it involved permanent modification to your lower. I'm still reading on the Lage but, so far, have not seen where this does. If not..... Hell yea, I need one

Look forward to hearing your review!

Which standard AR parts do these use? More to the point, if you get one of these, can you run a CMMG 22lr conversion and/or a dolos quick change barrel system and swap between any caliber thats supported in a standard AR magwell?

The Dolos quick change system will work will the 11/15. It uses a standard AR barrel, handguard, and bolt carrier that has parts attached to it. From what I read the CMMG 22lr conversion will not work due the bolt carrier design. I’m on the list for one but my number is in the 800s.

There are some videos of it running on YouTube.

There is another upper that will be coming for the M11/9 eventually. A&S Conversions is making an adapter for the M10 first that allows you to put any AR upper on it and fire it from a closed bolt. It kinda makes for a long package. The adapter is called Tenko.

Any plans for a 5.56 upper for the M10/45?
