Default Someone tell me if Chinese ammo is being sold in the US.

I read on the forums about Golden Tiger or other Chinese ammo and such yet I never see it at the stores. Is it outlawed and whats available is preban ?

Chinese ammo was banned from importation long ago, however it is sold on the secondary market quite often.

The only Chinese your going to find is from individuals who bought it long ago, not imported and sold through distributors

Did the law include ammo components like empty unprimed cases or bullets? I never did see the actual EO, though AK,s rifles etc are obvious.

ďSportingĒ gunís are allowed LOL. For some reason they think criminals donít use shotguns. Well, they donít very often, but they donít use rifles very often either.

Of course it doesnít make sense, because none of the gun laws really do. It was based on perceived fears of the time. There was that North Hollywood bank robbery shootout that used Norinco AKís, but that was a few years after the ban (they used AR-15ís too).

Your decades late for Chinese ammo.

My Hawk 982 is superior to recent production Freedom Group Rem 870s. All forged steel, no MIM, even OEM furniture feels stronger too.

Yes.

Pretty much everything is banned except their shotguns and cheap optics.

I'll say this since no one else will say it, go to the border states with Canada and you will find Chinese ammo.

I've been to places in Montana and they had new Chinese ammo, mostly from Canada so it is happens and it is happening.

Which is no different than the Russian ammo we are currently getting so what is your point? You don't want more cheap ammo options and lower prices across the board?

My point is Chicom 7.62x39 ammo that I personally shot thousands of round of was usually 4-6 min depending on the rifle.
Most Russian ammo will go 3-4 again depending on the gun. Some better lots under 3. There is nothing magical about Chinese ammo except it was dirt cheap. If it could be imported again you can bet it won't be much less than the cost of noncorrosive Russian. No different that the days of .12-.13 cent 7.62 nato long gone.

I don't know what is currently in stock. But they list about 24 different calibers of "Wolf Gold" on their site. Many of which I have shot.
