What about FM veprs? I thought they came with factory installed bullet guides?

+1

Look on the bright side.

No one is making new 9x18 pistols but ammo is still being made for it even from Western companies like Fiocchi and even Winchester. Same is happening with 5.45. There is enough but not ENOUGH.

And 5.45 is listed as a popular cartridge on slickguns.com

If you want a 5.45 AK-74 you best get used to buying used or hoping someone has a NOS that they never got around to shooting.

I talked to the M+M people.
They are currently importing new Romanian manufactured parts & barrels (PM-90's)
I asked about the 5.45 variant guns, like the Model 10 they used to import.
The answer was that Cugir no longer manufactures the 5.45 AK and hasn't made any in many years. They no longer even have the tooling to produce the barrels.
This is a reflection of their military contract requirements.
It is all 7.62 guns now.

Should this be the case, you can bet your ass they've got a metric shedload of replacement parts for their AK74 variant laid by.

The Romanian military currently uses a 5.45x39 AK.

So you think they could build new rifles off these parts in the cugir factory or would they just be exported parts kits that would use usa receivers.

Once the Romanian military drops their 5.45x39 rifle, you can bet your ass we'll be seeing these parts in some form or other.

Thanks for the information and initiative.

Good to hear they are possibly coming back to the table after Century frivolously tried to sue them a few years ago.

Is the Romanian military adopting a new rifle , or switching back to 7.62 ??

Since they are in NATO they are trying to go 5.56. Most likely with a domestic 5.56 AK that they have been making for years.
