Here's a pic of my M85 with only the one point sling missing from the pic...

Think that I'll likely coat the wood with spray-on truck bed liner for the total blacked out look which is the same thing I've done to the buttstock on my 1st gen M-70 rifle; I'm pleased with the black textured non-slip surface it proves.

My M85 so far, stock except for the MI handguards. The sight is a cheapo Crosman I had on one of my paintball guns that I put on for lol's.

It's a work in progress. I have to stop spending money for a few weeks. I have a Stormwerkz rail waiting to be installed, and a PA AA red dot will be going on that.

My plans:

MI handguard
Stark AFG
Some kind of laser/light just for tacticool lol's
Hogue grip
Stormwerkz rail
Primary Arms AA red dot
Manticore Nightbrake
Echo 93 V4/YP/QD Sling plate + dual mode QD sling
Tromix Charging handle nut
Maybe an extended mag release if I find one I like

thanks, the upper and lower ar for a vepr12 top just slides right in, but on a modified(shortened) standard tube...i dont have the skills, but a good friend i know has the skills for these type of things. the lower had to take a dremel to it....ever so slowly and trying for fit...til snug.

it doesnt ship with one. however i edited the original post and added a link to the atf letter i am carrying with it.:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxN...it?usp=sharing
also, here is the original question posed to the atf: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxN...it?usp=sharing

i ended up printing both of these images on one piece of paper, folded it up and shoved it inside of the stark afg.

Patrick, your M92 looks fantastic. Great idea about putting the atf letter in the Stark grip!

Did you have to do any fitting to the handguards? How snugly do they fit?

Did you have to modify the Midwest. Industries Rail to fit the M85 pistol? From what I have read they are designed for the M92 and they are slight dimensional differences between the two pistols.

Nope, dropped right in. There's a very slight gap behind the upper handguard, but I think it does that on the M92 as well.
