Default PSA 7.62x39 AR Upper $250

http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-p...ng-handle.html

I have a couple and had great luck with them using both ASC and CProducts mags. A really good deal at $250.

I think I bought my first one a couple years back for around $350. I am saturated, but tempted. Please buy em up before I weaken.

Forgive me, but I'm new to the 7.62 AR from PSA. Do you need special mags for the lower? I've got a regular Anderson lower that I was going to build in 5.56 but figured I might try the 7.62 upper since the price is right. Is it as simple as buying this PSA upper for $250 and slapping a regular AR15 lower on and using "alternate" mags? Can you modify regular AR mags to work? (I have a ton of D&H mags from PSA).

Need a new project...this might peek my interest since I love AKs. Thanks for any info.

No, you need 7.62x39 AR15 mags, but just a regular AR15 lower.

Sometimes we use a heavier hammer spring also.

But a lot of fun!

I have 2 and one has the Anderson lower, no problems but I use the proper mags and added the stronger hammer springs as mentioned. Mucho fun guns!

I've got the 10.5" pistol. 60rds so far and it's really fun.

Needs a stronger hammer spring and buffer/spring tune since it throws cases at 5 o'clock.

Both of mine are midlength gas systems. The curvature in the mags for the 47 has to be more dramatic due to the shape of the cartridge. Run away from ASC mags, their quality is hit and miss. I am running 3.0 buffers in mine as they are bone stock PSA complete lowers. I have some heavier buffers on the way. This guy tells me use an H2 4.8oz buffer. I am going to go heavier because I have them, see how they work. 5.2, and whatever PSA puts in their 9mm carbine. I don't have a digital scale........;-)

I've had one for years, no issues, great accuracy. I have several PSA uppers & lowers, good quality and when it's on sale, rock bottom prices.

If I did it again, I'd go for the midlength. And I have both ASC & CPD mags, I think the CPDs are more reliable due to their slick finish & stronger springs.

wanderson what sized buffer do you run? Mine have ran fine with the regular AR buffer yet it is too light. I want to save some wear and tear as these are going to see a lot of use.

Both of mine are mid length. The last one has the floating rail http://palmettostatearmory.com/revie...list/id/26949/
