Default SUB guns trunnions removed ?

I see alot of these kits with the trunnions taken out now why is this done but we can still have AK trunnions?

Do you want an ATF related reply that makes sence?

There was a huge fiasco years back involving ppsh trunnion since a ppsh can basically fire with the trunnion and a bit of scrap still on it.

The same thing happened a few years ago with the sten mkv. They cut the tops off the tube, but did not seperate the fcg from the intact trunnion and you could clean up the torch cuts and (dangerously!) fire a round.

I do not have a for sure awnser, but it is my belief that the cut trunnions is an over reaction due to those situations.
