Default Locking Folding Stocks?

Is there a way to lock a folding stock open such as a SGL-31-94, for those of us who are in restrictive states from time to time. It must also be easily reversed back to original configuration. Any ideas?

if you are in a ban state, they cannot be easily reversed. that is the point of bling pin and welding.

Drill a hole crossways through your latch and drive a pin through it. Boom. If you can't push the button, you can't fold the stock.

Sucks that the pictures are missing (curses you web rot!), but here's one way people do the sidefolder lock:

blind pin and weld is a federal barrel muzzle device standard, not a ban state. well, not california anyway. its not even specified by CA law that it has to be "permanent" or how difficult it is to remove.

I assembled mine with a short section of PVC pipe cut so the button cannot be depressed. 100% reversible and non destructive. A shot of ultra flat black Krylon takes the visual curse off it.

Did you do this with the spring still on the latch? Possible to get a pic?

regards

No spring, used a 4-40 x 1" SHCS for retention. Mine (Polish UF) was .750 OAL, yours may be different. D@mn Kalifornia rules!

Wrong there is no permanence required in this particular ban state (CA). For UF I just use enough zip ties around the portion inside the receiver so that the button canít move. For side folders you can go as simple as using a 45 ACP shell cut down to cover the button and run a screw though the Primer Pocket into the button (that has been tapped).

OP is referring to a triangle or polymer sidefolder. Not an underfolding stock.

Uh oh, OK...my bad. Weld that sucker up!

For those with UF and restrictive state laws, have at it.

Similar for the UF here, only with a copper pipe from home despot slit lengthwise, just enough to get over the UF mech while installed with a ziptie. you have to destroy the ziptie and copper sleeve to get the UF back.
