Default Magazine Compatability in the Yugo M85 Pistol

Besides the factory magazines (of which I have plenty), what other magazines in .223 will fit the Yugo M85 Pistol? Just wanted to pick up a few polymers that would work.

Beryl? Circle 10? Plums? Norinco?

I have an EG Bakelite that needs a couple swipes of a file and then it should fit.

beryl are gtg, circle 10's should fit, and m21 mags will fit of course.

Do you have a PV or NP? If you have the one with the polymer magwell (NP), any AR magazine fits and functions in it

I think you're not including the "with modifications" part of "beryl" and "circle 10s" . . .

( anything will fit anything with enough modification )

OP, sadly, you're stuck with the Yugo M85/M90/M95 mags, unless you want to start grinding other mags or your pistol's mag well area.

You want to trade it for a MAK90 that's only been fired 3 times?

I only recently for the first time fired the M85 I bought in Jan 2013 and all of my circle 10 clear Bulgarian mags work fine with zero mods, am I missing something? Funny thing is I still haven't gotten around to even trying the flimsy black plastic mag it came with, it seems fit for the garbage can to me.

This reminds me: later M85s I've seen have those AR mag adapters, can those be removed in a way that enables circle 10s to work, or is so much steel milled out that they are basically stanag committed? Do they even import standard M85s anymore? I guess this is gettin into shit I should just be googling

Just the opposite, if you remove the adapter you need to mill out the front trunnion to be able to accept ak style mags.

I'm not sure that last post is true, you have to mill out the trunnion to accept the adapter.

All I can go by is my M85NP which I removed the magwell adapter from. I compared this to a M85 trunnion from a kit I also have. They are identical except the trunnion from the NP was not milled out for the AK mag lug to fit into. It will be a few weeks but I will post pics when I am reunited with my kits. YMMV.
