Default PAP pistol round 2 - Trying my luck again, this time M92?

Well, the M85 I originally posted about is getting sold in an hour. This past weekend, I still had (2) FTE out of 240 rounds with steel case and another weird ass situation: The pmag that I have used the past few range sessions now would not seat in the magwell on a closed bolt no matter how hard to you banged it in. Locked the bolt back in the safety cutout and it seated perfectly fine. Between the random weird ass issues and not being able to find a .223 AK extractor anywhere, we are parting ways.

This leaves me to fill the void that I still want a pap pistol. Hows the reliability of the M92? Thinking of giving that one a go

M92 is GTG. But then so is my M85.

Just based on the sheer amount of people that have them on here and the little number of complaints, I'd say they're gtg. But I would have said that same for the M85's. Sounds like you just got a lemon. Couldn't happen twice, right?

Everywhere seems to be sold out of the M92's right now, so you'll have until the next batch comes into the states to make up your mind on it. Good luck.

This time im buying brand new, even though century's warranty probably would not apply anyways since the gun will most like be outside of their warranty "terms"

My experience with a few M92s have all been positive. I don't hear enough complaints to make me worry about their overall reliability. I dont have some concerns about the Yugos long term durability but we wont possibly know these answers until years from now.

I have used Century for warranty work and they where actually communicated quickly and also did the work in a short amount of time.

My M92 is the cat's ass, but it was a custom job modded by Tyler at CNCW, and then further by my hot hacking hands.

Zero failures of any kind with any ammo in 500 or so rounds so far, and surprisingly accurate, 8" gong at 200 and I can hit every time.

I wouldn't sell that M85, it's something small I guarantee, and there's no more M85's, they are all gone and as reported by Mr guns and gear, there won't be any more. They are already popping up on gunbroker for 700 bucks and better.

The QC on a lot of the Yugo Paps have been poor over the years. I often cringe at the praise they received in the early stages of them being introduced to the market with a steady amount of complaints coming in. It just seemed to me the pistols have had less issues from what I have seen (in reviews) and experienced first hand.

I read about a few issues too. I got mine after that. But in reading it also seemed to me that part of that was that they had a bad batch of N-paps, and a lot of people just assumed it applied to any Zastava gun. And so of course a couple that did have issues with their M92 came forward asking if their guns were part of that problem, didn't seem related to me. And Sublime's issues with his M85 are the first I saw in a lot of googling, overall owners seem to be extremely happy with them.

Im not saying the Yugo products are trash, I own a few myself, I am just saying initially people where praising them as super rock solid when in fact there was enough evidence to prove otherwise. The old "OPAP" thread that was really long had lots of instances of poor QC.

The sights on mine are canted as well. Added a side rail, RS mount and H1, and it's run flawless. Put an AKT in it as well. SBR and haven't looked back. Probably my favorite as it goes to the range every time.

Mmm, or not... You are having the worst luck with guns after the DDI and now the M85NP. Maybe just try lighting a little bit of cash on fire, and see if you get the same feeling!

Perhaps. Feels like a short WASR without a stock to me [because it pretty much is]. I think the PAP's look and feel more natural in the pistol/SBR setups.

If you're feeling brave and still want the 5.56 then jump on it.
I think the amount of legit complaints from the M92/M85 is very small compared to the amount of people that actually shoot their guns saying that they love them.

You can always build an AR pistol, but anything could happen to the importation of these without much notice [just look at the M85's]. Perhaps that plays into the hedonistic calculus...

my M92 has well over 1k rounds with zero hiccups, M85 much lower round count but they both run great.

No issues with my M92. Still trying to decide if I should suppress it since everyone says it beats itself to pieces due to the overgassing.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but that's a horse of a different color, as I recall the Opap was never a factory built rifle, but a kit build from de-milled military rifles? Didn't Century put them together?

O-PAPs are the Serbian 10/63.

Demilled M-70 kits built on new production receivers and CHF barrels by Zastava in Serbia.

Century imports them and makes them 922r.

And I have had good luck when it comes to Zastava products.

I'm somewhere between 6K-7k through my DF and my O-PAP is built like a tank.

I need to find a good deal on a 92.

This is true, the Draco has 1.750" more barrel. OAL may be shorter on the Draco(20.25"), not having the booster hanging out there.

My M92 runs as well as my MAK-90 or Maadi, meaning 100%.
