Default PPU 9mm, 124gr FMJ NATO :D

This had a 3% increase in velocity over the Winchester 9mm NATO offering in 30° cooler temps. Sam at SG has these. If you're looking for WARM stuff, this is it. The 938 in the video, the disconnector was all fouled up and got stuck down at one point, hence why the hammer wasn't dropping. The two light primer strikes, may be just that this gun doesn't like the primers? They went off in the M9A3:

My cz loves the 115 fmj and 124 jhp ppu.

Usually the 124 grain FMJ ammo is better than the 115 grain FMJ ammo for several reasons.

Often the 115 FMJ ammo is loaded shorter and may not feed as reliably, both US made and imported.

The 115 grain FMJ bullets usually have a much shorter area of length that is full diameter for the case to securely hold the bullets.

This can allow bullet set back or loose bullets.

The 115 hollow points often don't have this problem though and the 115 grain hollow points often feed more smoothly in more pistols than 124 grain hollow points.

Hollow points and truncated cone bullets are suppose load shorter than round nose FMJ bullets, though 115 grain round nose bullets are also often loaded shorter.

The 124 grain weight seems best for round nose FMJ bullets.

147 grain bullets usually aren't recommended for carbine length barrels.

I Bought a few cases of this, fed a box through my suppressed scorpion pistol and damn this round hits with some authority. Much more noticeable thump on steel than the 124 American Eagle I ran today also. Glad I picked up some of this, I will definitely have to grab more when funds permit, just way too fun in a subgun

PPU, 9mm does great for me. Much better than Winchester white box or Remington green.

Interesting ammo, I may try some for my fussy full size Uzi 9mm carbine. My Uzi won't reliably cycle most 115 gr ammo.

Having a hard time deciding between this or the 124gr Speer Lawman that SGAMMO has.

124gr Speer isn't a true NATO load. However it is excellent ammunition.

I am about to order a few cases of this stuff for my MP5s

It can be stated that yes, 9mm NATO are close to +P loads.

Not really.

Compared to civilian ammo, it is loaded longer, and acts as a larger cartridge and most FMJ 9mm civilian ammo is downloaded to reduce wear since it doesn't expand and might be used used in a 100 year old broom handle Mauser pistol.

Military ammo is loaded for performance and presumed good condition, well maintained firearms, so it loaded to close to maximum pressure, which isn't so doifferent from maximum civilian pressure.

Some hollow points are loaded hotter than FMJ ammo, to help them expand.

The Prvi 115 grain FMj and 124 grain FMJ ammo are both loaded to military length of 1.151".

Compare that to most civilian ammo.

Industry standard length for hollow point 9mm ammo is 1.120" with some loaded shorter and some 147 grain bullets loaded slightly longer.

Truncated cone bullets are loaded to hollow point cartridge length.

Some 115 grain FMJ bullets are loaded short.

Some 124 grain FMJ bullets are loaded to 1.150" which about right, but often FMJ ammo is loaded mild on purpose.

If the cartridge length is longer, more powder can be loaded without injcreasing pressure, but will increase recoil and velocity, like comparing 308 and 30-06, so the velocity can be similar to +P without the pressure.
