Ok, so I went and measured the barrel, it is .675. I measured it just forward of the front sight block. I thought, well maybe I could remove the hand guards and make sure that it doesn't step down or something. The hand guard retaining pin on mine was very tight.

As it turns out the barrel is actually a little narrower under the hand guards and steps up to the .675 as it goes into the gas block. I actually couldn't get the hand guards to come off without doing some persuading and since I haven't even shot it yet I didn't want to break something. But you can actually see the step up without removing the hand guards. See below:

Yea, that's why I posted that. These have been popping up on eBay and such and I know some people showed interest in then. I got lucky and got an upper that already had one

My upper from the original import run has the T91 comp... It's still LNIB ~100rnds.

I wonder if I could recoup some of my cash by selling to someone who's looking for the real muzzle device?

Question for guys who have sighted in:
-were you able to sight the rifle in using the given front site post or did you have to install the American sized extendos post?
-If you were able to use the original post, what range were you zeroed for?

I notice the original post is smaller and I like that better

Me too but I have Matech rear sights on mine.
I believe without the Taiwanese rear site everyone had to use the taller FSP.

How are your Matech sights? I'm looking for some good back up irons and I may just settle on regular Magpul MBUS Gen 2's

I think they are excellent. Easy to use and easily calibrated to 600M by just turning a knob. They also flip up, I'm pretty fond of them and they are combat tough and cowitness well on the Eotechs.
They could like, last year be picked up at RTG parts for like $40.

Here is my T91 clone so far. Please excuse my grainy cell phone pics. All I need is the correct stock and pistol grip. I got the carry handle and FH off T91tactical.com. I am not affiliated with them in any way.

I see they offer a keymod rail for the T91 on that website

I hope somebody I the US starts making new Keymod/Mlok handguards for these uppers, I like mine the way they are but would like the option for mounting goodies

Good video for lefties (left handed people, not communists, there's enough of that craziness going on in the news)
