Anyone have any suggestions on how to mill out lightening cuts on galil 80%? Anyone have the correct dimensions as well? I might jsut bring it to machine shop down the street.

Please make a vz-58 rec so many cheap kits out there with no rec to build them on you ether pay out the ass on the secondary market for a CBC warrior or roll the dice with a old Ohio rapaid fire

Does anyone cut the correct bullet guide cover plate into the 80% also, does it remain 80%?

It's not a functional part.

It is cosmetic.

It should be alright on non-functional models / replicas.

It does not affect the function-- true. But if you want an authentic Type 3 or milled AK -47, it should be mailed out for the cover plate. I am having Matt Yeamans (Turbothis) mill out the cover plate area on my two Tortort 80% receivers, but then he is finishing them to 100% receivers for me. Apparently, no one will do the milling out of the cover plate area unless it is already a 100% receiver or unless they have a manufacturer's FFL and you are having them finish your receiver.
