Default Beretta 1301 Tactical LE

I had been wanting a semi auto 12 gauge for a while since I traded away my last SPAS 12 a while back. I almost bought a Vepr 12 but there is just something about the AK shotguns that doesn't seem quote right to me, hard to explain.

My first semi auto 12 was a WW II Remington M11, then a HK/Benelli 121M1, great shotgun at the time. I then had three SPAS 12's, one fixed stock and two folders. They are fun but overbuilt and kid of clumsy. I have had just pumps for awhile, mostly Mossberg 500's with one 590. I had been looking at the Benelli M4 and the FN but they just seemed pricey.

This Beretta 1301 Tactical LE came up on one of my saved search Gunbroker vendors last week, this vendor deals with police trade ins and confiscations.

I picked it up today and it is about brand new, it had a tag that was marked T&E Return (test & evaluation) Looking forward to some range time with this one!

Well two big thumbs up on the big serrated slide release button. I might not be as scared to run that one dry. good looking unit. The trouble with shotguns with the rear rail is I want to put a vortex prism on it. I shoot so much faster with it but a shotgun should have irons aesthetically don't you think? So I am back to tritium but times are not even close to my gun with the optic.

Both 47 and 762 in the serial# thats a good sign

I had a beretta police gun. Trade ins out of the UK- not even in the same class as your gun. It ran absolutely flawless with high brass but not so much with low brass.

Great looking gun! Heard nothing but good things about there performance.
Need to pickup one myself. Had a Spas 12 back in the day ,ok but kind of
unhandy in some ways.

I had a Beretta 1201FP and it was an outstanding and most reliable shotgun.

Looks like they rounded out the back end where it meets the stock, changed the safety button, and added a railed cover.
IIRC they share internal components with a higher end Benelli.

Agreed. The 1301 is the second best fighting shotgun on the market IMO. Add the Aridus fix and it's just awesome.

Thanks for mentioning that, I will order an Aridus latch. After I saw this 1301 come up for auction I watched your YouTube review and that helped me decide to go and bid for it. My winning bid was $851.66, I think that I got a decent deal on a barely used LE model.

I just picked up one of these in January. Great gun, runs the cheap stuff for practice. Eats everything, lightweight and fast handling. Not much to complain about.
I'm thinking of adding a rail and a X300 on the forward magazine shroud.

BTW, I think the 1301 is a gas gun though not inertia operated.

Sweet! Is yours the 5 shot with the standard stock? I have a PA red dot that I have used on other shotguns that I can put on my 1301, right now I really like the iron sights, just about the same sight set up as my Mossberg 500SPX.

Beretta owns Benelli...and the 1201 shares some parts. The bolt, for example. And the 1201 can use Benelli buttstocks.
I bought a 1201FP a couple years ago that was surplus from the Detroit PD...it has been a fantastic shotgun.

I finally got to shoot this today and WOW! Great shotgun!! I thought that the HK 121 M1 was fast, this Beretta 1301 is way faster!!! Very easy with buck shot!

If I didn't get a good deal on a Benelli M4, this is the shotgun I would have bought.

Very nice ARMT! I couldn't pass up on the deal that I got for the 1301, I do wish that they made a fore arm that you could put rails on for stuff. It is a nice shooting shotgun though.

Thanks guys.

I would love the chance to take one of those 1301s for a test drive. They're a sweet lookin' shotgun.

It's unfortunate that some of the rail manufacturers out there don't have any rail offerings for the combat shotguns on the market. A light weight M-LOK rail for example, would rock.

True, but my 930 already has the aimpro quad rail. Its best with a vertical grip.

I really like the 1301 as is. Finally a company that put furniture on it with some aggressive grip to it.
