Default Lancaster Arms Serial Number

Just bought a Lancaster Arms AK74 with a milled receiver. It is an absolutely beautiful gun. Iíve read all the horror stories about Lancaster quality and am assuming mine was made before they had their issues. The serial number is LM0013*. Would anyone have any idea when this gun was manufactured as there does not appear to be a database of their numbers.
Thanks

Wow, 108 views and nobody has anything close?

Wonder how many of these they actually made? With all the bad press I would guess a lot!

Someone.....help!

Oh yes, they definitely made a milled AK74. Just your usual Lancaster mutt really. I think one thing they did that really annoyed people was trying to pass off Romanian parts as original Russian. Us AK guys rather don't like being mislead or fibbed to. We're all poor...the AK addiction is a harsh mistress afterall.

Well, I bought a Lancaster Arms AK-74 "Rough Rider" rifle BASED ON FAVORABLE POSTS ON THIS BOARD!

I took it to the range and it took me exactly THREE SHOTS to know that something was badly wrong.

Shortly after that people started posting ON THIS BOARD that these rifles had had bad barrels installed in them with oversized gas ports drilled in them and they were pounding themselves apart from excess recoil.

I elected to buy a new Bulgarian AK-74 barrel from Troy Sellars and had him break down this rifle and install and headspace the GOOD Bulgarian barrel in it.

So basically I treated this Lancaster rifle as a "parts kit."

THEN I ended up with a decent AK-74 semi-auto clone.

End of this sad story.
