Default "It's gotta have a long rail", they said. Here's the SKO 12ga semiauto

This is Standard Manufacturing's new 12ga semiauto shotgun - the "SKO" ( or SKO-12, depending on which press release you read )

I can see it now: Someone in Marketing asking for a "full length rail" ( cuz all those evil guns have'em these days dontchaknow ) on that new shotgun they were working up . . .

This is what you get when you let Marketing have design input on your gun.

. . . . then they hired Swamp Thing to demo it.

Anyone want to start a betting pool on how long it takes before the rail gets bent and/or broken?

Read more ( if you really feel like it ) Standard Manufacturing SKO-12

Looks like their shotguns work pretty good but that rail sure looks fragile.

Can't we just get a semi AA12 already?

Not sure about that rail. I think it's pretty cool that we're seeing more semi auto shotguns coming to the market though

The guy who has rights to the aa12. Blue something in Tennessee. I called and asked about the rights or if I could get a post sample and he treated me like i had no idea what I was talking about. And then made a weird call to me the next day, just repeating what he already said. Maybe he called me on accident the next day?

MAD GENIUS!

The Shotgun in the OP looks pretty cool. I would hope the abomination of s rail is removable. But for $1k, I'll stick with the VEPR12.

What do you mount to a shotgun? A red dot and maybe a light?

Looks pretty good, rail needs to go though. Really liking the SKO Bull(pup) as I dislike how long my Vepr-12 is.

and alaser designator and a vertical grip with a light in it, and i have a knife that mounts in a sheath on pic rail...and some rail covers to hide your dismay at tearing up your hands...

For those of you that may want this shotgun with no rail and a lower price point the
SKO Shorty may fit the bill. The SKO 12 Shorty currently retails for 575.00 .You can install a AR15 type stock if desired . Still like the Vepr 12 the best but at least there are other options being offered .
