After about a year, finally got the tax stamp and the parole of my suppressor from suppressor jail:


very, very quiet

So what's in the gas tube? is the front end of the bolt carrier just a blind end that slips into a dummy gas tube?

The gas piston is replaced by a heavy piston for blowback operation. It requires the gas tube as a housing.

Yall think the RAS or IO trunions would be suitable for this since blowback requires you to remove the locking lugs anyway (before they remove you).

Sure, I don't see why not. It's not exactly bearing a large load in this case.

The OP said he left the lugs on,Bolt does not rotate to engage them.

yes, no lugs required. I only left them on since I was originally trying for gas operation.
