Default Spanish Civil War 91/30

Ran onto a 1936 91/30, looks to be a Spanish Civil War rifle. It's not a beauty by any means - finish is all but gone, stock has a minor crack near the front, but is mostly solid. Of course non-matching, but has the "USSR" stamp on the RSB. Are the SCW rifles pretty desirable (even when ugly), and what is something like that worth?

A picture would really help. Usually, condition does have a big influence on price. I have seen them range from $200 to $500. Like a lot of surplus if people really want it, they will spend the money...

Ah.....The Spanish Civil War. Immediate Pre-World War II Civil War at its ugliest. (The previous ugliest was the Russian Civil War that took place after the Marxists took over power in Russia circa 1917 to the consolidation).

Any way That Spanish Civil War - the one that 17,000 civilian American Citizens volunteered to either directly fight in or serve in other supportive capacities. For Whom the Bell Tolls is a Movie that commemorates the struggle Hollywood style.

Paul Byrum of Celtic Thunder sings the best rendition of "RECUERDEME" (Remember Me - in Spanish) - a song written about a man fighting in the Spanish Civil War remembering his lady love. Look for the Paul Byrum Celtic Thunder version with or without lyrics. Great Song. Interesting conflict. That Spanish Guitar...........

17,0000 American Volunteers - impressive numbers for a non-government sponsored military event.

In my experience the scw rifles sell for about the same as a common refurb would. To me they are far more interesting and I would rather have one than a refurb

Well the common Russian refurbs that were $100 in the not too distant past are now $225-$250.

A nice SCW could be $250-$350 but mainly of interest to a collector as they are not refurbed and will be rougher in appearance.
But they are generally in original used condition and were potentially used in the Spanish Civil War etc. Some are matching and some are mismatched or have replacement Spanish upper handguards etc.

Thanks. This one is at a $200 asking price, and it looks like it was well used by the Spaniards. Mis-matched of course, but all there.
