I'm not sure why you guys are making any sort of ruckus about this.

For PSA to intentionally produce a firearm that "accepts STANAG mags" and then require those mags be modified to work is simply ludicrous.

The firearms being shown are early pre-production samples, and sh**'s subject to change.

I have to say I am quite interested in the PSAK-556 BUT while there is certainly a rush to get it to market I would caution to get the process and QC straight FIRST even if volume suffers. The PSAK47 GB2 initial roll-out seems to have not handled that part adequately and thus caused a lot of angry and frustrated customers and tarnished the PSA reputation a bit. QC QC QC!!!

Im not sure whom your referring to as "you guys," but I was simply asking a question that wasnt being answered. I wasn't implying anything, not was I insinuating anything. It's quite simple, a question was posed and wasn't being answered. I too was curious, so I asked.

I thought this already addressed? It's going to use AR type mags.

He confirmed that there was no last round bolt hold open. A question was posed by another member re: mags, so I simply asked a question. It was then answered, but for some reason it keeps coming up.

On 2/24 PSA posted to ARFCOM that it will be released in "30-60 days". I'll take that as a "no".

It still should be 30-60 days, but as our order volume has tripled in the past few weeks, it takes resources to try to just maintain with the increase. We are working on it though, and are still about 30-60 days.

Thank you!

For what it's worth, why would anyone build an AK variant without the notch in the safety lever to do the BHO?

I have no interest in a 5.56, or 9mm AK to many better options that are tried and true.

I don't want that BS on my AKs. Rifle is fine.
The only thing I see it being useful for is showing that you're clear to the range officer. That can just as easily be accomplished by using an empty case as a chamber flag.

It's a nice thing IMO to be able to hold the bolt open if you want to do something like run a patch down the tube before going to the range. No tear down involved.

Looks like May if we are lucky. Would be cool if they sent one out to someone to test before they are available...

I hope that the mag adaptor has enough clearance for the D60 drums.

I know it sounds dumb, but ask anyone with a BCM lower that won't take a gen III PMAG with the over-insertion tab.

hey PSA, is the firing pin on this 5.56 AK gonna have a spring like my Saiga .223 or free travel like an Ak-74?

Specs on the 9mm AK will be released approximately 30-60 days after the 5.56 is in full production, in case anyone is wondering.

Thank you for your interest!

Josiah
It is now May. Hows the 5.56 coming?

Which store should I keep bugging? Blythewood or the one in Irmo?

I ask every time I go in either. The guys at the counters either don't know, or they are very good at keeping a secret

Are we safe to use a standard suppressor (non Ak-specific) or will there be possible concentricity issues like a lot of x39 AK’s?

Are the important components like the bolt group and trunnions com block parts that you guys import or do you guys make them?

You should definitely sell a model of the 5.56 with an ar buffer tube
