Default Hk 93 wood set & Mp5 wood set

https://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-clone...version-3.html

Iím having an mp5 wood set and 93 set made by pro member Jarden. The mp5 pics he sent look gorgeous, absolutely beautiful work. I might need to sbr just so I can show off the wood.

Heís working on converting a cetme hand guard since the hkís have dried up. Love the wood.

Very nice!! Wood goes well on the smaller HK’s. I still have some work to do on this set. I wish that I had bought a few more sets of G3 wood when it was dirt cheap 4 years ago.

^^^^ looks good, you did a good job. I was afraid to try and tackle it myself fearing I’d screw it up so I enlisted someone with obvious skills and low and behold I still screwed one up. Lol. I had a bright idea to take off the wood butt stocks from the metal back plate and send a surplus metal double push pin back Plate to be modified to single push pin back plate and wouldn’t you know I cracked the pretty butt stock. Lol. Oh well it’s getting a shot of Elmers or something still looks better than the cetme alternative. I wish I would’ve bought more, oh well. I love the look of wood on these rifles.

From that HK link does anyone knows how someone was able to incorporate bipod to front woof hand guard?

Not exactly, I do know you will need both an hk wood hand guard and a wide hand guard as donors. Albatross who posted that pic hasn’t responded to pm’s, I asked the talented member Jarden who doing the conversions for me what he thinks about it. I’m sending a cetme wood hand guard (since the hk’s have dried up) and a vertical grip for a 93 conversion. That should be interesting, I’ve seen pic’s of the vert grip and wood for the mp5 but not the 93.

Looks great Sandman! I did mine about four years ago, if I had another spare HK wood forearm I would trim and fit the back, not the front like I did mine, live and learn. I have one more wood stock but I use that sometimes on my PTR91 when I feel the need for an old school wood look

Well with the hk wood hand guards having pretty much dried up, I’m in the process of getting another set done using CETME wood. Price is very reasonable for getting a set conversion considering what other sites charge just for the 93 butt stock.

The hk buttstock’s I’ve gotten recently are pretty dark, and the last two batches I ordered both had one in the box cracked so I would order with the intention of one possibly going back for refund.

Thankyou, I will have to ask Jarden and let you know, Iím not sure where he got the rivets. I remember my woodworking skills being much better than now, both times recently Iíve tried working with this wood Iíve screwed something up so Iím letting the man with the skills do my work. Lol

Thought I’d give an update, cetme guard is turning out great. The front of the cetme hand guards are different so it’s not plug and play on the 93’s or 91 types. They require a whole rigmarole.

The cetme guard pics I actually brightened up a little to highlight the metal cap work, it made the wood look yellow and it’s not. The cetme piece isn’t refinished like the other pieces but it isn’t yellow, the last pic is what it looks like. I plan on putting a little oil on it and Bam! Ptr c93 here we go.
And lastly a bonus stock I got lucky.
