I am educating myself on the Tiger SVD variant and would like to hear from anyone having and shooting one.
They seem like a reasonable alternative to a full SVD or Chicom nockoff. |

I bought one over a year ago, and converted its parts to SVD parts. My favorite rifle so far. I mainly shoot 148 grn Tula FMJ out of it. Seems to keep around 2 moa ish with the 4x posp scope. I recently put a PKAS red dot on it and started practicing for close encounters.

Nice, I am thinking of doing similar thing. Did you replace the front sight base with the SVD style or did yours have that already?

I replaced the front with the longer flash hider with bayonet lug. I changed the back sight, hand guards, front sight/brake, and gas regulator. Got a Russian sling, Chameleon vest, 4x pso scope with active ir port, cleaning kit/tool kit, and 10 mags.

I did the same stuff as under folded and love it. It's my favorite com bloc rifle by far, but tends to beat my shoulder up pretty good (but when I take it out I put a lot down range). They will draw a crowd if folks know anything about com bloc at all and slings 54r shells far enough you will likely get someones attention anyways.

I thought it was just mine, but yeah, recoil is a bit on the heavy side. My SVT is softer.

I love mine, I get 1” or better with 182gr PPU match and around 1.5 with everything else. I got my tiger unfired, took my time and picked up all NOS SVD parts. As for shooting, it recoils like a 54r but it handles very well! It feels lighter than it actually is,they have a nice trigger and its very well balanced. One suggestion, the matched Belomo PSO works fine but IMO the glass is not quite as good as the real Russian PSO and neither is as good as more modern optics. Depending on the level of use, you might want to factor in a better optic your Dragunov funds

Love my Tigr. Get an adjustable gas regulator . It will help with recoil a little.

I bought a Tiger in 2016 to snag one before the prices got totally out of control and have been really happy with it. I shoot it more than the NDM86 actually
The two tigers that my friends own are both 1.5 MOA guns with good ammo. I haven't bothered to bench mine yet or take it out past a couple hundred yards. I lived overseas for a few years and didn't shoot, now I suck all the time and it's been slow getting back into really accurate shooting As mentioned the adjustable regulator is worth the money to soften the recoil, which IMO has always been higher on a Tiger than an NDM or SVD I prefer the black poly stock because it definitely reduces recoil for both rifles (and these days I don't even care for laminate on the NDM, that's how good the poly stock is for me) This is subjective but I think Tigers shoot better with SVD flash hider FSB vs the Tiger plain jane FSB. My voodoo feeling is that the heavier weight on the end of the barrel helps with the barrel flex I've since put the black poly back on the NDM, and the Tiger has a new FSB where I am doing a suppressor project |

Yep, it's made by Lynx. Works great with stud mounted bi-pods. They also have a bolt on rail, if that is your thing.

Where did you find it?
Can't provide feedback on a seller if you don't tell us us who it is, haha. I put the rail on and use it with a Burris 9-13" sporting the ARMS quick detach mount. |

Just checked my online receipt and I purchased mine from 4range.com. Sorry, don't have any experience ordering from Lynx directly.
https://4range.com/product/lynx-svd-...913-10612.html Out of stock at the moment, but you may want to contact 4range and see if they have an ETA for a next shipment. Have heard nothing but positive reviews as far as 4 range goes. |

“The PSO-1M2 provided with the US imported Tiger is unique in that it is made by Zenit-Belomo in Belarus but is not designated a POSP. It has the military range-finding reticle calibrated to a man-sized target of 1.7 meters (about 5 feet 7 inches). Current military scopes are prohibited from export from Russia because they are considered regulated military goods. Belomo does not have such a restriction and exports scopes and optical sights with military reticles.” http://www.dragunov.net/optic_pso1.html Here’s a side by side The left is a IZ marked older type of PSO (70s Soviet era) , the right is the matched PSO from my Tiger. Not really seen in the pic but the glass grind is very evident in the Belomo not so much in the IZ ![]()

Thanks man^^
thats what I thought. I have (almost) the exact 2 scopes, they just vary slightly by date. I was scratching my head about when did they ever produce anything optics-related in Ukraina. Lugansk was the only real ammo/small arms manufacturer.... BeloMo has greatly improved their quality withing last 10 years or so. PO 4x17 is amazing.
