Make up a meaning - "Washington Approved Semi-automatic Rifle" or "Welded Angle-iron Single-stack Rifle", "Wood And Steel Rifle", whatever. As long as you don't drag the Wassenaar Arrangement into it.

The Wassenaar Arrangement is an agreement by participating nations to each voluntarily report yearly any sales of military or "dual use" items to designated "conflict zones" in non-participating nations. That's all it is, that's all it does. Nothing more.

It's not NATO. It's not the U.N.

Romania is a participating nation. The U.S, is a participating nation. The U.S. is not a "conflict zone", so there would be no need or requirement for Romanian to report any sales of AK rifles to the United States.

The key here is first, reading the actual Wassenaar Arrangement, and second, understanding it. The vast majority of people have never read it, and the vast majority of those who read it, tried to read it, or claim to have read it don't understand it. And it's not a complex or difficult to understand thing.
WASRs are sold to conflict zones in the Middle East aren't they? So Romania would have to report sales of them right? So that's what their name references. Hmmmmm

Personally, I like the right side folders - ALOT. I don't want an under folder at all.
*The right side folder can be deployed with ALL types of magazines in place.

Other than the contractor issued WASRs, are there actual photos of WASRs in hot zones? This has me curious, and I wonder if their mag wells are opened up.

Definitely would be in for another imported underfolder. Also having dimples in the receiver would be sweet and it would probably sell more.

There is no such thing as a "Wassenar Agreement Rifle".

I don't doubt that the WASR has absolutely nothing to do with the Wassenar Arrangement, however, I'm certain I've seen century fliers with the slogan "Wassenar Arrangement Rifle" on them.

Weather or not the rifle and the arrangement have anything to do with one another doesn't mean it's not named after the arrangement. Associating two entirely unrelated things together in order to maximize profits is capitalism 101.
