PCC or pistol-why choose??

You can make your Glock into a PCC, that's still really a pistol because that's a folding brace and not a stock LMAO

I like a Tommy Gun for home defense.
I sold all my guns and ammo, now I live the quiet retired life.

I’d opt for a Scorpion EVO with some 115 grain hollowpoints of I had the luxury, or my 40 SIG P226 dead asleep.

Zenith Z5RS MP5, PTR91 GIR, PTR91 K3P PDW, SLR104FR, VEPR 545 20.5, VEPR 762 20.5, 91/30, WASR 10, O PAP, M92, M70AB2, PSA AR15 Mid Length, SIG P320, G19, VP9, SIG P226R .40

In my initial post, I was assuming the use of low grain hollow points for the 9mm and .45, and because my collection consists mostly of 7.62x39 rifles, I was assuming FMJ's so not a good choice for my situation.

But true enough, there are of course rifle rounds designed for home defense and urban use while I'm sure there are handgun rounds with similar penetration and instances where defensive rounds penetrated more than a person would've thought they should or could.

In regards to the science proving any statements here, it will only be as good as the consistency of the controls its testing against. Some sheetrock is 1/2, some 5/8. Some houses have 2x6 framing while others have 2x4 framing. Some houses have interior insulated walls etc.

I'd say almost any defense-caliber round is going to have a pretty good chance of punching through multiple walls or even an entire house of shitty 1/2 drywall if it doesn't hit a stud or hvac etc. In the end, I just don't want to be the jackass that has to explain to neighbors and authorities and the judge why I chose an AK47 instead of a handgun for defending my home in a tight urban setting. Just trying to be reasonable I guess.

Obviously there is home defense .223 ammo but I guess I just assumed most were packing FMJ's. I'm not much into AR's so maybe there's more interest in using them for home defense than I thought.

To each their own!
