Why is 8m3 so much better? Is it just the same load with a different bullet?

My WASR shoots the 154gr. Tula better than anything else, and it shoots looser than any of my other AKs.

Other than that, I donít shoot Tula. For me itís just not as consistent as other stuff that I can usually get for a penny or two more a round.

Tula feels light but iíve seen Two different chrono tests and Tula comes up faster on average than other stuff, but both tests also show how inconsistently it shoots in FPS.

I also prefer lacquer over the poly coat.

I have shot thousands of rounds of it out of sks and ak’s. Not much wrong as far as plinking goes, when the ammo gets cold, you can get hangfires with it. Say below freezing. Click,,,bang type stuff. Switched to yugo m67 for most shooting now, just have to clean up well.

Lately at least locally for me it's usually more expensive than other loads that can be had from Cabela's when on sale (Red Army FMJBT / Vempyl plant) and pawn shop scores of Silver Bear FMJ @ $5 / box, etc. lol. I've ran a lot of Tula. Dirty ammo that goes bang. I've enjoyed paying a little more attention to the hunt for better quality stuff. Usually luck out every trip out. When that changes I'll start back on Tula.

I don't hate Tula because it does go bang everytime I shoot it. However, I don't buy it anymore because its weaker (both 7.62x39 and .223) compared to other brands, pricier (about $10/40rds from Walmart when I can get Golden Tiger for .22 cents/rd shipped from SGAmmo, and worst of all its fucking polymer coated. I absolutely despise polymer coating as it rusts so easily and came about by fucking 'Murican morons with out of spec low end AR-15s crying about "lacquer melting causing cases to get stuck!" and repeating that nonsense online.

I prefer GT, lacquered Ulyanovsk I can get from work and Brown Bear.

Has anyone shot tula through a chronograph lately to prove it is weaker in comparison to other 7.62x39? I have back in 2012 and it was the hottest load of the bunch (tula, wolf, golden tiger, and yugo). I have not chronographed current production. I may pick a box and do so now unless someone else chimes in that has already.

I find it to be pretty dirty and weaker. It's also inconsistent. I've used in a few different calibers including 7.62x39. There's better ammo out there for a small price difference.

This argument is like Ford vs. Chevy, vs, Dodge or Bud vs. Miller vs. Coors.

Because itís the best bullet design ever for 7.62x39. Also double sealed, etc.

https://imgur.com/a/fSCkmPX Got this squib with Tula, haven't shot it in years, and tbh I don't like the smell. I won't say it's bad ammo tho, literal millions of rounds manufactured and fired flawlessly. I would spring for better quality any day.

Never once had a problem with it, aside from it turning into shitty beer at yuppie beer prices.

Over a span of around 200 rounds I had 5 pierced primers in my SKS which bent 2 firing pins (admittedly the firing pins was my fault). I had a gunsmith look into it (taking FP protrusion measurements etc, and test firing) and he couldnt find any issues so it might be a bad batch of ammo. I gave RAS a try and it ran just fine. I've heard SKSs can be finicky with ammo due to the bigger firing pin hole as opposed to the AK's, which is sort of tempting to test it in my Veprs but I dont want to risk anything. Besides for a couple cents more a round I can get Barnaul / Golden Tiger which is better.

I love me some tula. I have other types too, but for blaster ammo the tula rocks. No issues using it, no issues saying so.

I got 1,000rds of Tula 7.62x39 in a local deal. Came with a nice Sile import 56S. Never shot it before, but so far so good. Just using it as training/blaster ammo.
