Unfortunately as prices fall so are the incomes of buyers. I bought when I was working & could afford it. I payed a little more than I would`ve liked but got what I needed & stopped buying before prices peaked. Coming into winter now & more people are unemployed & even more uneasy about where the economy`s going. Since Sep.`08 my state(Wa.) has lost over 16,000 jobs, 8k in my city alone, & that`s w/ u.e. at 8.4%(national average is about 9.8%), though I believe actual u.e. figures are higher. Gonna be a long winter.

Well stated Fortis,

Yes to those who said that ammo prices would come down... well they are but $200 ammo with a .70% inflationary dollar is still $260.

If you have it to spend then great, but it will go down further as the economy slides.

I will have to eat My Rifle's crow ( sauted with portabella mushrooms in a wine floured gravey please ).

C'est la vie

swoops

Incorrect, swoops, $200 is $200. At a rated of inflation as you note, you would actually have to pay $260.

So if your inflation rate is correct, it is an even sweeter deal.

Sorry, but you got it backwards.

Yes Drj I stand corrected,

I should not have used the term inflationary but deflationary. Discretionary income is not as available. The price is attractive but I don’t have the money free and available to purchase,.as other items are needed more.

Prices fall simply because people have no desire to buy, leading to a cycle of purchase postponement, doing without, buying other items, hoping that the price will go down further.. Business at that point can’t make a profit or pay their bills, forcing them to cut production and workers. Goods and services dry up making them scarce and cost of said goods and services again go up

As the US Government continues to print money, the dollar is going to continue to fall. Your purchasing power diminishes daily. Your tangible assets… home , property, AK kits, are all worth less.today than 1 year ago. So is our dollar.

If as a carpenter or a doctor ,I take a pay cut or are hired for less, and now make $800 per week instead of $1000, then the ability for me to purchase an item priced today at $200 isn’t much better than if I bought it at $260 when making $1000 per week.

A non kenysian swoop

Oh I hear ya. I`ve got pretty good savings but have to be more choosy these days. Just one more case....I said that 4 cases ago. Is there an ammo anonymous?

im glad i refused to buy during the scare!! i say we all should keep from getting jumpy and hold out another couple months (or $150/case)!!!
christmas IS coming, and they may see that a smaller per unit profit is outweighed by higher volume sales.

am i nuts? should we buy at $200 or hold out and see if it goes lower? ill bet right now they are lowering the price until we start buying again to find their new market value, SCREW THAT lets set the market value to what it should be

I thinks you may be right the longer we hold out the price will come down. With the way the economy is in and the fact that alot of buyers spent there money panic buying after Zero got in things are just starting to cool off look how much in the last month how much WASR's have come down.

The Aim Tula is headstamped "WOLF". It has either no laquer or thin laquer. No red laquer seal around neck. It does have sealant around primer. Comes in white boxes with black text. 500 rd to each sealed plastic bag, two bags per cardboard box.
