SVD/PSL scope heights...

Hey everyone.I was wondering if anyone knew the scope height over
the bore of the SVD? Is the SVD lower or the same? My PSL is 3.125".

I am playing around with ballistic programs and am getting nowhere
close to any published data. This is kinda' like a project to me.

Any help guys would be appreciated.

At some time somebody measured the offset of the scope to the center line of the bore. It's not as much as the height above the bore but it was interesting to figure that, even with the offset, the error at distance didn't make much difference until way out there.

As near as I can tell, the SVD scope height must be closer to 2".I have studied your posts and ran the numbers all kinds of ways.I just can't seem to get close
to the figures. Now the trajectories between the SVD and the PSL may just not be that big a deal.I am just trying to really get a better handle on my PSL/LPS rifle/scope combo.

It is easier for me to think in MOAs and yards rather than MILs and meters.

I am simply trying to learn and enjoy my shooting.I have read the manuals online
and just can't find the concrete info I think I want.

P.S. allesennogwat,I have tried to PM you but your box is running over.

With my 8x POSP scope I estimate the scope to be about 7cm above the bore's centre on my Tigr.
