Default look what I got for free and...

want your guys opinion. Without going into detail I saw this and quite a few rifles being attacked by a chop saw as required by... Anyway I asked and I received this piece of scrap. M70 0-pap I think?,lots of barrel marks. Original barrel? Unfortunately they cut right through the rear trunion. The last pic is of the chamber/throat. Not sure if that looks normal or not. Thanks for your input. deadeye.

"O-pap" is a commercial gun.

You appear to have a stamped M70 frontend.

Is it an optical illusion, or did they chop the end off the barrel trunnion?

Yes, he states that (at least that is what I took from rear trunnion)

I'm going to say this is an early O-PAP - one of the first ones to be imported. Some of the early O-PAPs has the serial number on the left rear of the receiver. Then, they moved the serial numbers to the front for whatever reason. The stampings on this front end are also commonly found on O-PAPs. Based on the date of "12" (on the right of the RSB), this is clearly an early O-PAP.

Also, if this was a M70, would it not also have "ZASTAVA-KRAGUJEVAC YUGOSLAVIA" on the left of the RSB?

Thanks guy's for your insight. I decided not to use the barreled assembly as planed so I'll most likely put in the MP in the future. Any one care to venture a reasonable starting asking price? Thanks again. deadeye.

That marking varied during the production timeline.

Some were marked on the RSB, some on the receiver.
