10/22 - Milled Receiver

This is a 10/22 rifle COPY that I made - I machined the receiver, threaded it to accept my heavy barrel I chambered and contoured, and put it in a modified Bell & Carlson 10/22 stock w/ Duracoat camo (German SS Plain Tree Pattern w/ AZ Desert Colors). Sprayed the gun in Graphite Black H Series Cerakote. The Bolt and trigger group are factory Ruger parts. It weights close to 14lbs, not really a rabbit hunting gun...

Pretty slick. Was there something you were testing out or did you do it for the experience.

Looks great!! Where U get blueprints? I am a machinist and need yet another job to do behind the boss' back.

We measured an Aluminum Ruger receiver, and then adjusted the internal specs to fit our bolts (which varied quite a bit). I don't think I have my notes on it anymore...

There are some 10/22 receiver blueprints around the internet. I don't know how accurate they are. I want to make a steel 10/22 receiver.
