alright, i admit that after seeing 28 days later i went out and bought a bunch of mags and ammo. the main factor in my doing this was the scene where the british soldier is hiding under the bed and screaming "i'm out of bullets!" i'm now sitting on 40+ mags and three cases of russian spam can ammo.
if zombies ever attacked i would want to be as prepared as possible, becoming one of the living dead just isn't my thing.
now, after seeing the trailer for the new Day of the Dead zombie movie i really think i need a tactical AK light. i figure that if the SHTF power/lights are one of the first things to go and i want to be prepared.
focus: anyone here bought anything they really didn't need at the time but soon felt they did with some prompting from hollywood?

If I were expecting someone to come after me, I sure hope they come into my dark house with a tactical light on their rifle. My eyes are old and I need an edge; I figure that giving me a light to shoot at is mighty thoughtful of them, even better than using a laser.
It was paranoia, not movies, but I just wanted lots of guns (dependable man-stoppers, not safe queens), lots of magazines, and lots of ammo. Now I'm equipped, and can't use them. Life truly is a bitch.
