Anyone seen these?:

Are these genuine military issue or are they commercial pulled reloads?
I'd ask SG, but they are usually not that well informed on details for their ammo.

These appear to be commercial regular ammo Russian with the bullets replaced w/308 tracer. Soviet T-45 has green tips. Bullet diameter on x39 is .311, whereas x51 is .308. For what they want for it, you could buy real T-45's if you can find them.
Looking at the pic of the pile of ammo close up you can see the orange paint has flaked off most of the bullets. They are bullets pulled from 7.62x51mm ammo and loaded into Russian cases.

Have you varified this by obtaining some of this ammo and pulling the bullets to compare them to US or NATO tracer bullets? Or is this just a "best guess" opinion, based on the appearance of the bullets in the picture?
I'd be interest in hearing from someone/anyone who has actually used them and what their results were as far as accuracy and function.
If they were US or other NATO bullets and they functioned well, it would be more cost efficient to buy the bullets and reload them into factory HP or FMJ stuff just for messing around with rather than paying almost a buck a round for them. If I'm going to spend that kind of money on ammo, it's going to go towards my .50 BMG not x39 tracer.

$1-$1.50 per round is going price for real T-45 tracers if you can find them. They are not importable, and SG couldn't sell them if they were the real shit.
Soviet T-45 tracer has GREEN tips.
7.62 Nato tracer has ORANGE tips.
You can buy 7.62 Nato tracer projectiles and load them in x39 cases.......most decent reload places have them. As said, keep in mind that x39 has a .311 diameter bullet, and 7.62 Nato has .308 diameter bullet. So it will affect accuracy a bit.
I wouldn't buy to try especially from SG who have been known to be full of shit ( as to see the 30 rounders for 2.50 a pop they offered and been sold out of as soon as their ad went up ).
i was wondering if when reloading the .308 diameter, if the size diff. would cause the bullet to upset and diturb the tracer compound, anyone know this? thanks
