that is the subject of many a good web flame war.

some will say it is angry beavers...but, i'm in the camp that says it's blind chimpanzees.

Campy, I think he wants to know who makes the parts the blind champanzees assemble. Probably the lowest bidder--a process that almost guarantees that they are made from the cheapest materials, by the least-qualified workers, and given the minimal quality control.

A very good source of mine planted deep within CAI told me its the underwear gnomes who make CAI internals.

:rofl_smal

I am guessing by the replies that Century themselves probably machien the parts.

BTW, are the underwear gnomes related to klingons?

Does anyone know if the HTS sets sold by Tapco are made by Century or someone else ? Has anyone used the Tapco parts and are they any good ?

The tapco parts are the old Gordon technology sets, Tapco bought the rights to them(and machinery too, I think, but don't quite rememberthe whole deal).

General consensus is that theyr'e nto as good as RSA< about on level with FSE(or above or below, depending on who you ask, but defintiely better than the Century ones.

I believe Tapco mighta changted them a little after buying them from Gtech, so not quite as good, but that could just be a quirk in my memory.

Could Hesse be making these for Century? I don't know anything for fact, but there seem to be some ties between Hesse and Ccentury. Century has the capability to make their own, as does Hesse.
Just thowing an idea in the hat.

In my personal experiences with Sar1 and sar2 , i have found the really weak link in the FCG is the sof t hammer that was in my 1999 Sar2. It shoots great but got tired fo worring abou the damn peening and just replaced the hammer with a harder one . No problem now . My 2003 Laminated Sar1 Seems to have a much Improved hammer. Someone got the message, I think. No peening at all after a fair amount of rounds through the 2003 Sar1. dont have to worry about my 1997 Cugir 762 which is all European parts as far as i can tell.
