Dropped by a local range today to see what's been going on.
He was working on a new topcover for a prototype 9mm AK74.
Looked way too cool.
Started out as an AK74 kit.
Added an Ace folding stock , Suomi mag , 9mm barrel , with a Bulgarian KRINKOV 4-Piece Flash Suppresser .
His website is a little dated but still good.

Man , if I tell him about that , he'll want to cobble one of those together.
He's already built a M16 using a steel Krotz Springs receiver.
Uses greasegun mags.
It just rocks flawlessly on full auto (insert drooling smiley here) !!!!

Yes Red Jacket is working on a 9mm AK rifle, it will feature a dedicated 1.6mm receiver , all new parts and utilize a Soumi mag and possibly a drum. The first proto type has been completed and had around 2000 rounds fired. The second rifle will be built with some upgrades etc . We will continue to perfect the rifle until we are satisfied with the product and then release it for sale. Thank You Atlantic Firearms, llc

just updated my semi beretta 38 to suomi drum. a 9mm ak with uzi barrel and suomi drum is on the drawing board, and should not be too hard.
