Hey guys
With the extra couple of inches on the VEPR II barrel in the 7.62X39 are there
any considerable accuracy or velocity improvements
thanks

I doubt it would be enough to worry about. AK was never meant for precision work but VEPRS do pretty good in that department.
You would have better accuracy due to the construction of the VEPR but barrel length wouldn't have any effect on anything unless you hanloaded then you could get a little more velocity with a slower powder.

For what it's worth, I recently chronographed some Silver Bear HP from my CZ 527 and got 2611 fps w/ 31 Sd. Also ran some Silver Bear "Match" through the Romanian WASR-10 and got 2353 and 32 Sd. Frankly, I was amazed at the velocity from the CZ, as the best I've gotten w/ max handloads and the .308" 125 grain Hornady is 2280. The difference is probably attributable to the harder jacket raising pressures w/ the Silver Bear. The CZ barrel is not quite 19" and the data was from ten rounds fired w/ each load. HTH
