A recent post about the hated AK "shepards hook" over on the FAL Files got my memory working and I remember seeing a pair of Gulf War 1 bring back AK's, that had some kind of external spring clip that retained the pins in the reciever. These were already torch demilled and mounted on pieces of plywood as wall hangers. (One intact on the right side, the other on the left) I remember them having a triangular bayonet and a noisy selector lever, but not much else. The external spring clip required some effort to depress, but once flattened, it would pivot up and free the pins. Anyone seen anything like this?
