Ive seen several venders for the AK SA FCG. Some are single hook some are double hook.
Can any one tell me the pros and cons for each and if they are specific to a certain AK model or receiver.
Thanks in advance to all that reply.

Double hook mostly on milled guns supposedly gives a smoother trigger pull I have only experience with single hook so dont know if thats true or not.

no russian kalashnikov has been built with a double-hook trigger since 1959.
there is only one advantage that one would have over the other...the single-hook akm design is easier to tune.

The double-hook was a feature of the AK-47, changed on the AKM. The Chinese Type 56 Carbine (and it's successor imported into the US, the MAK-90) is actually an AK-47 with a stamped receiver, and used the double-hook trigger. I've seen double-hook triggers that were identified as Bulgarian, so they may have been a hole-over, or may have been used in milled-receiver guns.
Campy's right about being easier to tune. However, the double-hook will keep going with a hook sheared off--which I've only seen on SARs with US trigger parts.
