Hey everyone,

Glad to finally jump in the "fray". :) Thanks to TB for clearing up some admin issues on the back end. I've been itching to contribute to this fine community.

A little about myself. I am a gun weilding (conceled), Freedom Loving, Ex Military, Red Blooded, Right Winged Citizen of the United States of America. Here is a bit of history as well... From the roots of North Carolina where I was born, I moved all over the world as my father was in the United States Airforce. I have lived in Berlin Germany, twice. I was there when the "Wall" came down, Nov 9, 1989. I also lived in Southern Italy (Brindisi) when we sent a fighter-Bomber contingent of F-111's into bomb Libya (that was a scary time as it was just happening across the Med). Then after departing on my own life, I went into the USAF for 7+ years. I was lucky enough to be on a flight crew (C141-B Cargo transport). There hasn't been a continent that I haven't landed on or flown over. For the past 13 years I have been here are Microsoft and enjoying working with Technology. Although I currently reside in Washington State surrounded by liberal looney left love children, my wife and I have found a good group of "right wingers" that we spend most of our time with. I am pretty open minded but have a strong faith in my country and have utmost respect for those that have died and are still serving in the cause of liberty and freedom. As Benjamin Franklin once said, "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little secuity will deserve neither and lose both.". See you all on the boards.

Welcome. I miss Washington, loved the Kitsap Pen, but I hear it is California North now. Damn shame, most beautiful place I have ever lived...

Aug's Dad
HEY !!!! You ain't one of those extremests as defined by Hoeland Security are ye? If so, welcome aboard.

ruckstar
Welcome to the files, now GET ME A NEWCASTLE!!!

I understand about the libs in the north west. After my parents retired, they moved back to Washington State, where my dad was from. Long story short, after about 15 years, they moved back to the South because they couldn't handle the liberal bullshit.

Etek
Welcome Titanium!

Methinks you'll fit right in.

Guinness Draft please. ;)

LuzRD

welcome to the AK files. bring the beer, pull up a seat and sit down. think of us as a slightly deranged abnormal family and you'll fit right in.

Titanium5
Thanks for the kind welcome everyone. Looks like I owe a round or two from the "new guy". ;) I am happy to oblige.

mmckown - You are correct sir. It is California "North". Although it seemed to slow down for a while but now it's picking back up as the rats abandon the sinking ship. Not much better here with the news that Boeing will be moving it's 787 plant to S.C. Can't blame them. "Queen Christine" - our infamous “governor” has pretty damn near destroyed any reason for businesses to stay here. We are at a billion dollar shortfall for the state budget and her proposal is the Demash*ts mantra of raising taxes. Stupid, stupid, stupid.. Hell, my job is at stake with this administration as well. Check out: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aAKluP7yIwJY Anyway. It still a nice place and a hop skip and jump to mountains and Easter Washington / Northern Idaho / Montana. Working on "contingency" plans right now with fellow "preppers" in case TSHTF / TEOTWAWKI.

Aug's Dad - You damn well straight I am an as I am defined by the clueless DHS. Myself, and my father, and my father before him. We are all "extremists". I tend to look at it as Patriotism. After all, one man's freedom fighter is another mans "terrorist". That is a global truth but too bad it's used in more and more twisted ways to justify the ends of the means. There are rules in all engagements of tactical and / or strategic kinds. The value is to maintain your humanity and try to live a semblance of life if you are lucky to survive.

ruckstar - Seriously, a "NewCastle"?! Just kidding. To each his own. It's not so bad but I prefer other. :) Anyway, that it too bad about your parents. I can see what they are going through. I have a pretty good "support group" here and I like to mix it up with the libs. Most of 'em aren't armed and won't do anything but pee their pants with their backs against a wall in an argument. It's fun to screw with ‘em and get them all flustered and stammering. It's a little thing I do. My wife is a little more even handed in the "game" but I like to press their buttons. LOL. I plan to stay. Again if TSHTF / TEOTWAWKI, my friends and I will most likely be a small percentage of the armed group fighting for survival. And you can bet your ass we will.

Etek - Thank you for the warm welcome. Guinness, a man after my own heart! I like to chew my beers. Must be from all that time in Germany.

LuzRD - Thank you for the warning about the basement. As long as there is reason, I will be here. One Bud coming right up! :P

drjarhead - Thank you sir! You bet. Hopefully I will contribute. Been reading a lot lately. A couple good books that I'll be posting about is views based on "Patriots" by Rawles and Unintended Consequences by Ross. Both great books about TEOTWAWKI and the history of gun culture. A must read for any "Patriot".

Firefly - Salute and Thank you!

swabbie - Not sure about "new blood". Pretty damn near pushing 40. :) LOL. Again, I think my views, considerations, and questions will unfold with time. I am really trying to hold back and decide what I, as a individual can do, what I can provide for my family (wife and dog), where my "friends" come into play, and how my network of new "friends" can assist. Right now, it is still a "one man" battle in my mind. There are things that I wish will progress down a certain path but I've been in a few campaigns (1st Gulf War, Somalia, Bosnia, and a few more that I am bound by my duty not to divulge). It was interesting being a Loadmaster on a Starlifter. You got close in a lot of cases flying with SOG groups but most of the time, it was far away. Just enough to see what man's inhumanity to man can produce. Believe me, I don't want my Nation, nor my parents, Sisters, or my family and friends have to endure that. I would rather settle peacefully any argument or misjudgment but I am also not above violence when it's called for. Unfortunately, it seems that it's getting closer to that. The only way to stop a bully from bullying you is to go apesh*t on him and bring him within an "inch of life". In most cases, in the way that bullies think because most are pretty thick, they won't mess with you from then on.

bill3542 - I am feeling good. Having a Jack and Coke as I post. Hope that is ok with the "beer" crowd. :)

Cheers Gents. It's been a pleasure typing so far!

Welcome from another new member.

Titanium5
Thanks again guys, I am starting to feel at home. Great info so far on this board. I originally wanted to join because I picked up a Romy under folder WASR and read a wealth of information on this board. I figured it would be a good community to join and education is the one thing they can't take away from you (they can try to repress it but then we are dealing witt larger problems at that point).

tedbo - Sam Adams, great choice! It's got that micro-brew flavor with a large distribution capability. That is an example of a great product getting it's just deserts! Go entrepreneurial-ship!

Fundump23 - Thanks man! Either a Guinness or a Jack / Makers Mark and coke or just a little bit of soda water is good with me. :)

CPO TED - LMAO, yep. Some would say "Chair Force". hehe. Good natured ribbing for sure. Grandfather was in the Army for 10 years then went back to farming in N.C.. Father was in the A.F. for 25 years and came out an E-8. He was an electrician in Civil Engineering. :) Good times. Well noted about the basement. I'll behave myself and get to "know" everyone (as much as you can on a BBS) before I get "frisky". It's my general nature not to though. Once you publish something on the internet, it's there forever!

renegadebuck - Thanks man. Trying to already. :) Posted a few posts. Hope you all enjoy.

tdbrown1969 - Thank you sir! Sounds good to me as well. Although I do like the Suga! Must be my southern roots!

ScottD. - Oh man. I have a buddy in Elko, NV that likes Red Stripe! Went down there this last summer and I thought he was joking when he picked up a case. I was like WTF, you like Red Stripe?! I thought that is what Jamaicans just gave to white people to give them shi*ty hangovers. LOL. He's half Jamaican and a cool dude. He just said he liked them. Again, to each his own. Out of your selection, J.D. would be good for me! We can see eye to eye on that or when we are wasted on the floor. LMAO.

spippin - You too Friend!
