Red Dot's Anyone?

Since the Optics forum seems to get little or no traffic, I figured I'd post this here.

What are most of you using for Red Dots etc. on your Ak's?

I am considering getting one of the Nayvis 34 red dot set ups w/low profile BP-02 mounts from Kalinka but do not know much about them. Are these legitimate and reliable or are they merely toys that will fall apart with much use? Do the BP-02 mounts from Kalinka differ radically from the $115 ones from K-VAR? I have an Eotech 5.12 on my Stag 2T and like it, but wanted to try something Russian to put on both my Saiga 12 and various AK-47's.

Anyone have anything to contribute??

Pk-23 on my WASR and aimpoint H-1 on my SLR-107FR on an Ultimak. Though once my Form 1s come back on my Draco's I'll be putting a Comp Ml-2 on the SLR and switching the H-1 to one draco.

I'm using a Russian sidemount (High profile, no brand name) with a Simmons red dot.
So far it's held up well on my WASR and Saiga-12.

Slightly customized BP-02 with an Aimpoint.

The ML-2 is what I have too. It's been just great.

Primaryarms sells an Ultimak with their knockoff aimpoint which has gotten great reviews at ar15.com. Pretty well priced as well.

what sort of red dot would you recommend for an ak74, on a budget?. i can spend about $80 on one.... i know thats not much but its what i have to work with. not going to be shooting past 100 yards with it.

Sportman's Guide is having a good sale on Barska red dots. My brother has one and likes it.

does your brother have his mounted on a ak or an ar15?

will that mount normaly on a side rail? i know these are newb question, but im wondering what makes it an (ar15/m16) sight in the eyes of the seller.... must have somthing to do with how it mounts?

I've got SIG SAUER micro aimpoint. $150, on my SLR106FR on the handgaurd rails. works good

i just picked up a sight mark, came with a lifetime warrenty.

anyone have any experience with them?

I have the Ultra Sightmark Holographic that I like real well that has 4 different sights and I like the crosshair one the best.

Prefer dust cover mounted aperature sight.
