The attack against Tea Party activists in the video below is a direct result of the concerted campaign by the corporate media — in particular Chris Matthews — to portray Tea Party activists and supporters as racist. It’s an example of pro-Obama brown-shirt thuggery.

In August, SEIU (Service Employees International Union) knuckle-draggers attacked anti-Obamacare demonstrators at a U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-St. Louis, event in Mehville, Missouri. Kenneth Gladney, who was handing out Gadsen flags outside the stage-managed event, was viciously beaten by a male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. Gladney was hospitalized with multiple injuries.

The attack came after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi characterized anti-Obamacare demonstrators as “astroturfers” and Nazis. Carnahan characterized the opposition as “disrupters” and said they were “mobilized” by “special interests in Washington who have lined their pockets by overcharging Americans for a broken health care system.”

In fact, as Ohio Democrat Dennis Kucinich and others have noted, Obamacare is a bailout for the insurance industry. Special interests control Obama and the Democrats, not members of the Tea Party movement.

Pro-Obama operatives and pundits at MSNBC — again, specifically Chris Matthews and the SPLC and ADL — should be held to account for their incendiary comments now resulting in violence.

In August, a La Raza supporter attacked attendees at a town hall meeting held by Texas Democrat Gene Green. The man was arrested by police.


CNN engaged in biased reporting today when it characterized the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia as a group that represents a potential threat to the government. CNN will continue its series with a report on the Oath Keepers. On October 21, Chris Matthews attempted to portray Stewart Rhodes of the Oath Keepers as a gun-toting maniac. It remains to be seen how fair and balanced CNN will be toward Rhodes and the Oath Keepers.

Notice, in the ANSWER Coalition literature below, there is a direct call for violence against “tea baggers” (the same term used by Matthews, Anderson Cooper, and other corporate media talking heads).

ANSWER is a Marxist-Leninist organization (specifically, the Workers World Party, a communist organization with roots going back to the Soviet Union).

The racist demonization of immigrants only serves the interest of the ruling class during this historical economic crisis. The same ruling class that devastates the lives of working people in other nations through war and super-exploitation are the ones throwing workers out of their homes, denying them healthcare, and laying them off from their jobs in this country.

Racism is consciously used as a tool by the ruling class because they know that as long as working people are divided and fighting each other, the people are not fighting the bankers, CEO’s, and politicians. Only under a brutal system that puts profit over people can you have a whole section of society whose only crime is being forced from their nations because of imperialism and forced to work in the most hostile of conditions in this country. Only racism can justify this reality.

The continual devastation of working people because of this crisis, however, is not the fault of one group of workers. On October 28th, President Obama signed the largest military budget in U.S. history-$680 billion dollars, which does not include the cost of the criminal occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. The new administration is also continuing to hand out the $9.5 trillion dollars in working people’s tax dollars to bailout the already rich.

The money to end the suffering of all working people tomorrow is there. It is our choice as to whether we will allow the right of a few to profit from labor of workers to continue, or whether we will rise up as one class of working people to and take political power into our own hands.

We are building a movement that will beat back racism so that working people of all nationalities can unite and fight against our one, shared enemy: capitalism. Amnesty, full rights for ALL immigrants, is a demand that should be raised not just by the immigrant communities, but by every working class community in our struggle to solve this crisis by our own means.

I agree wholeheartedly. Question is, and I've asked it before, how? Many on this forum have said tea parties are useless. OK, vote them out? Some have responded that it's too late for that. OK, what then? Trust me, I hate this anti-Christ, left wing crap that has been going on in our counrty for the last 40 years as much as anyone. Just by posting this, I am considered an extremist by DOHS in my own country thats framework was built on God given freedom by a Constitution. My eyes are wide open, everyday.

There are guards but they are concerned only with maintaining the perimeter and haven't the resources to protect the inhabitants, nor the inclination to do so given you have been declared an Enemy of the State.

In your locale you have roughly 30 men of various abilities but all are able to put up a fight.

They are sending 55men with armor.

What are you going to do?

What are you WILLING to do?

It is actually quite a bit of fun and has some good lessons.

I got it from one of the Docs I worked with. A bunch of us went through it and mostly got their asses handed to them.
It kicked ass all the way through and finished it in about an hour. I had a blast doing so.

Now, I was the only vet there and it doesn't make me some sort of military genius. Not at all and I don't claim that.

But it was lots of fun and I think you might appreciate the lessons.

I'd recommend the book for most everyone here, actually. ;)

Here's a sample for those interested. After another page or two, you have to make a choice of several. Then you move on and see how you did, have to face the next decision.

If you do well, you win and move on, even get promoted.
If you do poorly, a bunch of your men die and your position is lost, leaving you even weaker for the next fight.
Do badly enough and your command is wiped out, you are killed. End of book. :)

Really is great fun. I had a blast going through it.

Infantry combat isn't what you will be facing for quite some time. What people face now is Chicago-style thug tactics more than anything.

Own a business? Are you willing to risk having it shut down by agency BS, like trumped-up IRS charges? What if the EPA came in and said a previous owner had polluted your site, but since they can't find them you are being held responsible? How about having the Rainbow Coalition protesting outside your business doors?

You say you are an employee? How do you think your employer would stand up to a coordinated character attack before they canned you? "John, we are sorry, but your activities with freedom group XYZ has caused such an uproar that our diversity suppliers refuse to do business with us. You understand, we have a lot of employee families to think about."

Or what about some less sophisticated methods of getting you back in line? How long would you be able to stand up to random, chronic vandalism and threats of physical harm to you and your family? What if everytime you left your house your car was keyed or had a flat tire? You put a camera in the driveway so instead you come out and find that the side of your house has "TEABAGGER" spray painted in Flo Orange and your shrubs have been sprayed with Roundup?

If you can't stick your neck out and risk things like that, there won't ever be any change, much less something as ridiculous as a shooting revolution.

Well, I certainly ain't the brains of this outfit but, maybe there is a way to list local gun shows or other events we'll be attending and meet up with other AK Files Forums members to get acquainted on a personal basis. Sure there would be gubs there and I'm certainly not suggesting discussing or doing anything illegal. Just to get to know eveyone. From that, we could form local volunteer groups that could help out in case of some kind of natural disaster, flood, tornado etc. and hold meetings on occasion. Hell, we could even start a citizens advocate group and call it Walnut, Pecan to help folks. Along the lines of reading those books you mentioned, we could have a fictional essay writing thread based on Terminators or some other fictional charachters and call it "What would John Conner do? As I said before, I'm not suggesting anything that could be remotely construed as violating the law. Just my thoughts.

nobody said you HAVE to confront armor, or 55 men for that matter. Burn tires and sneak in wolfpacks. Helicopters and APC's are much easier to overcome when they're parked on the asphalt.

What you do depends on what you want to accomplish. Want to die defending your home while inflicting maximum damage on the enemy, stand and fight. Want to make a lasting change, then booby trap the shit out of it and leave a couple of sharp shooters to inflict max pain before they retire...

Especially in an urban environment where response is limited by co-lateral damage concerns. You also have better knowledge of terrain.


What you do depends on what you want to accomplish. Want to die defending your home while inflicting maximum damage on the enemy, stand and fight.Suicide missions serve no reasonable purpose for you, your family, or your comrades.


Want to make a lasting change, then booby trap the shit out of it and leave a couple of sharp shooters to inflict max pain before they retire...More what I was thinking though I think I'd plan a little more for this sort of thing on the withdrawal with a few surprises before they got there. If you are only one guy, then your options are pretty limited.
You also have to ensure flank and rear security, a couple of good withdrawal routes that are covered and small reserve force to throw into an area where things are bearing the brunt of their efforts. Don't want to throw your reserves away either.

Just a few thoughts to how I'd approach it.

You would need to dig in to at least a few, well concealed positions if time provides.

Monitor their comm.

If you hit them, hit them at their weakest.
When they move, hit them somewhere else. Remember, your goal is to harass and escape.
Harass their strength.
Diversion in this regard may be beneficial depending on the circumstances, primarily terrain and time.

Deception wherever possible.

It is far more difficult to pin down position based on a single shot, then multiple ones. That is obvious.
I do, however, understand that there has been technological advancement in this area so it depends on the tech savvy of the group you are dealing with.

The other thing I would say, is that I often give thought to the original Revolutionary War. They fought by the rules for the most part, though the Brits may have disagreed with that at the time. However, civilians were not generally involved, even those who supported the Redcoats.

This is pretty much what H John Poole's books are about and I highly recommend "The Tiger's Way" as a start. "The Last Hundred Yards" as a follow up.
He talks a lot about Eastern Warfare and as a back drop, eastern philosophy on a basic level.

Tactics are tactics. They have not changed much in a long time. High Tech is High Tech, you work your tactics around the tech. Are some gonna get wacked by the tech? Yup. Are you gonna find a way around the tech? Yup.

Seems to me some pretty low tech people have been giving some pretty high tech people heck for several years now. To the point that BOTH conflicts have been in doubt in the last two years. At least thats what the MILITARY and GOVERNMENT have said.

High Tech gives you an advantage. PERIOD. It does not guarentee a DAMN THING. RPG-7s, a 50 year old platform has been used to knock down the most advanced helos in the world. The vaulted M1A2 SEP Abrams is also vulnerable to a mobility kill if not an outright kill from multiple hits from the same platform. The "new" Stryker is a one shot for the rpg.

Tough, dedicated, smart opponents will find a way to kill you no matter what. The minute you don't believe that you are dead meat...

If you can get a couple of guys together and train through them...see what works, what might be better.
Even a pair of guys is better to train then by yourself. You then have ability to fire and maneuver. A huge advantage over a single man.

You do not need to do live shooting for some of the tactical training--esp when just working out what you are doing. Probably better not to, in fact.

I found them used ... on Amazon about $2.00 each ... I'm gonna order SOME tomorrow AM. From your description it sounds like they will make interesting training aids.

I have gone and will continue to go to peaceful rallies, maybe even with an open firearm or my standard concealed right to carry. However, if confronted and attacked like this, what would you do? Here is my opinion on how I would react (hopefully under the best conditions).

01. First of all, I wouldn't be stupid enough to enter into their midst unless absolutely needing to.

02. It is my right to stand my ground and speak my mind

03. If confronted, I will also stand my ground and speak my mind

04. If attacked, I have a obligation to defend myself meeting appropriate force with appropriate force.

05. If I deem a deadly weapon (club, knife, boot in the face, or other various blunt / sharp object) is wielded with imperiling affect, I will attempt to give ground in hopes the pursuer give up chase.

06. If they continue to pursue, with my hand on the weapon, I will give a verbal warning that I am armed, and for them to drop the pursuit

07. If pursuit is still continued, I would draw and double tap the chest, holster my weapon, and wait for the police to arrive.

08. Hire a damn good lawyer.

You have to believe your life, is in jeopardy. They have to have issued a threat to same and have the ability to carry it out.

Same for defending another:

That person needs to be incapable of helping themselves and be under attack from an assailant who has both intent and means.

I.e. Old man being beaten on grown with wooden clubs...I am gonna say that was a shoot situation.

If you have the means to evade, flee you must take them - depending on your state laws.

In ND we have to right to NOT flee, and use deadly force in our homes, places of work and in our vehicles.

If you fire - Answer no questions other than name - and then ask for a lawyer. They ask for ID and you give it to them. Period. You however do not engage stupid mode and start answering "friendly" questions. You also do not fall for the "If you have done nothing wrong then why arent you answering my questons routine". Be polite and firm. Answer nothing, save name. And Ask for a lawyer from the minute they ask you anything.

A few random thoughts...

Know when to backstep. If you are blindsided and knocked unconscious then you are at thier mercy.

Yes you can defend yourself if there is no room to flee - be aware you draw in a crowd you also stand the chance of being overpowered and your weapon used on you.

In a situation like the one exampled here I believe Mace was the answer, quick, fast and generally debilitating. FYI: many inmates are so often sprayed with pepper mace, etc, that they develop a tolerance to it. I have seen men sprayed dead in the face with nearly zero effect.

Be smart, have the right tools and always be situationally aware.

Also be damn aware of your areas Duty to Retreat Laws. Or no lawyer will save you.

javelin is correct: the strategic fault of red dawn, and tactical lessons like tigers way is the assumption that you can act out of time like some youtube dream in the woods for the afternoon, without support. so two things first: these things (north korean invasions) go on like 'incrementalism', and community is your first real step.
