Canted Sight on my SGL21 :(

Well got my SGL21 and the front sight is canted by about 5-8*. Lovely. just a warning to check your rifles out before you check out of shop. RRRRR>...

Does your rifle have a feed ramp on the chrome portion of the barrel?

not sure, I sent it back already... is there a problem with those ?

I hope you're having them send another one and not just scrapping the deal. They've already gone up $80 since I bought mine. Mine is fantastic by the way. The Arsenal test target has 3 touching holes on it. I haven't shot it yet, but I cleaned it tonight (amazing how dirty a brand new gun can be).

What happens when someone gets a rifle like this? is it a pretty easy return process? Also, since they send out a new rifle, does that have to go through an FFL again, or would that qualify as sending your rifle out for repair?

i didnt even take it home from the FFL. just had him send it back

All AKs have "cant".

They don't make'em to be cosmetically perfect - they make 'em to be reliable military rifles.

A 5-8° FSB cant shouldn't affect your marksmanship at all.

I agree to disagree.

Like most people I want my rifle as correct as possible, I can put up with scratches and wear but not canted sights.

It would have to be very cheap price for me to put up with such defects. If you put up with stuff like that rifle manufactures will try to get away with worst stuff.

These ARE cheap rifles.

They could easily be sold for $350 or less, and still gain profit for the seller.

No No No, very cheap, with canted sights $175.00. With good sights $350.00 max.

Then again when I find something I like and must have, I will pay a little more :laugh_sma .

Some times I wonder if something else is coming down the pipe and they are just clearing out stuff that otherwise they won't be able to sell once the new stuff comes out. :confused:
