View Thread: Crooked rear sight block fix?
freedomisntfree
This is what I get for buying an AK without having my glasses with me. It's a Century Arms Yugo underfolder. When looking through the rear sight to the front, I can now plainly see that the entire rear sight block is canted slightly to the left. It looks like there's a pin holding it in place on the barrel, but I don't want to mess with anything until I hear from someone who know's what to do.
I figure a few good taps with a brass hammer would be a bad thing.
Thanks.

You would be correct in that assumption. You'll have to knock out the pin ,then try and move the RSB radially to where you want it ,then re drill or ream the pin hole and re pin it all the while being very carefull you dont deform the RSB as it is paper thin on the sides where the BC goes thru it.

Is the trunnion matching the cant?
As in is there a gap on one of the sides of the RSB when looking from the top or side?
Maybe both are canted. ( RSB and Trunnion).

There is a slight gap on the right side. I believe the trunnion is straight. I'll try removing the pin and turning the RSB. Thanks for the help.

Are you sure it's the rear sight block that's canted? If it's off very much the carrier will rub. Double check and make sure it's not the FSB that is canted.
