View Thread: Where can I find AMD sling swivels?

danny boy
I need two AMD-65 sling swivels with unbent tabs. I tried to use the old ones but they snapped right off.

Anyone have any idea where I can find them?

k-var has them...shipping sucks.

i repaired mine when it snapped on removal...just carefully take ur dremel and cut it off taking care not to damage your belt loop fastener(ring).... then just go to a hobby shop and get their thin sheet metal and jsut rig one up with your vice grips etc... mine works well enough. and it was cheap to repair!

you will also have to cut off a piece of the thin sheet metal and bend it like the orig best you can.save ur money for ur next meal etc... seriously. i think i paid a total of $6 bucks for the thin piece of metal.

+ 1 on making your own. 10 minutes with tin snips and a vise.
Go to a sheet metal shop or a junlyard for the metal for free.

I agree +1 for DIY, but the ones from K-Var are stronger.

I've made them from the narrow bands that hold freight on pallets, plus they're already blue.
